  • Im in love with my 1st VW and with VW service. - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

After a year of researching and testing cars, but avoiding germans, since I always consider them to be out of my budget, I finally decided to give the VW Jetta a try. And oh my gosh! I was so impressed that I bought the car without even do any research on it (I really took a dive on this one) But the reality is, this car feels amazing, I mean, if you drive a Mazda 6, Camry, Honda, Hyudai, Kia, Ford focus, etc... and then drive a Jetta, all you can wonder is, how come this car compete in this class? I love the car! If the reliability is just as good, then this car should be in everybodys garage. Only time will tell. For the time been I have become a VW fan!

  • Love the Car, Hate the Issues - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

We purchased our Jetta off the lot, but I think we choose the wrong one. We had issues right out of the gate. Noticed that left side speakers did not work. Took it back and discovered that when the dash was installed at the factory they smashed the wiring harness. Second issue: clicking sound from drivers door trim. That took over 4 months to get it diagnosed and corrected and to get window controller fixed because tech damaged it while fixing the trim. Third issue: Had to have the manual transmission replaced at around 48k. Interior seals failed. I think this Jetta was made right before siesta time (made is Mexico). Tires side walls blew out around 35k

  • customer care is a joke! - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

You should know that once you bought the car, if anything goes wrong, you are on your own my friend. Bought a new 2011 Jetta and maintained in impeccably and at 114,00 miles the turbo blew(not supposed to). I now have at 22,000 dollar car, less than four years old that is pretty much worth scrap. Customer care, all the way up to Volkswagen top supervisor, told me with deep sincerity, there was nothing they could do and felt no responsibility since my warranty had expired. Does Volkswagen stand behind their product in any way? This company has no sense of fairness toward their customer. Sincerely, broke and carless

  • Love my Jetta! - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

I bought my 11 Jetta SE with Conveniance/Sunroof at the end of July of 2011. I have a 120 mile round trip commute to and from school every weekend and I also deliver pizzas 3 nights a week. I have just under 10k miles on it and havent had a single problem, despite the heavy usage! However, 2 months after I bought the car, I was rear-ended at a red light by a car going 40mph. The safety on this Jetta is remarkable! The rear end was completely obliterated, but everything that was in my trunk remained secure and unbroken. No glass shattered, and NOTHING penetrated the interior cabin! I walked out of it with nothing but a cut fingernail from hitting the steering wheel. This is the car to buy!

  • Is this what Ive heard so much about? - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

Ive owned my 2011 TDI about 4 months now and I like it. We immediately took it on a road trip (Colorado to Georgia) and it was comfortable and enjoyable. My normal daily driving is about 50 miles round trip. I drive on a curvy mountain road and it ahndles great. The inside is a little on the cheap looking side, but it is a lot for the money. I would have prefered to pay a little more and have a better quality inside. Other than not getting fog lamps it is equipped nice. Everyone Ive know swears they get 50 MPG in their older Jetta...what changed. The best Ive seen is 44, but it is usually closer to 40 mixed driving.

  • EXCELLENT car, but not without a few caveats. - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

I bought this car after much deliberation and test driving numerous other models. This car is, by far, the best car for the money, and overall I love it. I have only a couple issues. 1) the car is pretty underpowered when the A/C is running. I like zippy, and would expect a little more zip, but its still pretty good overall. 2) THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Dear Jesus. Its not terrible, per say, but it needs some bug fixing STAT. Sometimes trying to find a specific address is a pain. Oh, and the iPod connector supplied in the glove box is a little iffy at times. It lags when switching songs, every so often it will glitch and not play, but overall these are very small issues.

  • Brand new buyer- crossing my fingers Fre - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

What can I say about a car I bought three days ago for my kid? I will keep it positive.I am crossing my fingers. A certified jetta 2011SE ,70k miles with 24 months &24k miles warranty.VW was not in my radar screen. I was looking for a Honda or a Toyota equivalent and 4K-6K more. I like this VW handling and the leather seats, bluetooth. If I had read the reviews I would not have purchased it. I am waking up every day thinking that I screwed up. My local mechanic is happy because he thinks we will see each other more. How can VW be in business with such bad reviews. Sales dropped another 8% last year. Wish me luck, I hope not to return to add a bad review

  • Read reviews before you purchase - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

I bought the car new and it currently has 90000 miles on it. Last year the fuel pump exploded. Dealership replaced it, saying it was under warranty at 70000 miles. The warranty is 3 years, 36000 miles, whichever comes first. Makes me think VW knew there was a potential problem with the fuel system. Last week we replaced the turbo at a cost of $2600. This one is most irritating, because while under warranty I told the service department how the car hesitated at initial acceleration and they responded with it was due to the double clutching action of the transmission. Liars. We did not expect VW to be of such poor quality

  • All of them pull right from engine torque force - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

Every time you accelerate the engine torque pulls car to right side all the time very annoying and every other driver I talk to says same thing. Ive had my 2011 jetta for 11 months now and I cant get rid of it because I loose $4000 I had tested the demo and it pulled right but the salesman convinced me it was out of alignment but my new car does same. Buyer be ware of this front engine torque forcing car to drive to right side I will never buy a jetta as long as I live
