  • From Gas to Diesel - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

Never owned a diesel or VW before. I needed a high mpg car for a longer commute. I was leaning towards a hybrid, but I test drove it and I was impressed. Just turned 1,100 miles on the car. Its been a great commuter car so far. The car handles well and latest safety test rating are and added bonus.

  • The Best Jetta EVER! - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

This car is absolutely the best Jetta ever built. This is my 2nd Jetta owned and it wont be my last. The gas milage is great. 27 in the city and 33 on the highway. The new body style also gives the car the room it needs in the back seat. Plus, probably the best feature, this car just got named the safest car on the road right now. It aced the side impact crash tests! Overall the car fits me and my family perfectly!

  • teenagers are out of it - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

Before the Volkswagen Jetta had more fun and excitement for teenagers but now its like a family sedans so I am not too thrilled of the new arival of this sedan. Although I must say that its a really good fuel economy vehicle and its interior design is nice. The exterior design doesnt make me feel very excited. Overall the Jetta is an OK car and they should work now on bringing back the teenage theme back in the Jetta. It can be better I think quality-wise.

  • NEW 05 TDI experience - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

After owning a 2000 Beetle GLX turbo for 5 years with gas prices rising I decided to make a switch. Deciding on the 2005.5 New Jetta TDI with package #2 all the options. I have really enjoyed the overall performance and not to mention the mileage. I get 38 in the city and 48 on the highway. Amazing what diesel technology can do. I would definately tell anyone interested to go diesel. Anyone who wants to can relpy with their VW experiences.

  • My First Jetta - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

This is my first VW or import car for that matter. I am a huge fan of the New Jetta, I love all the features. It feels like I am driving a BMW that I paid 50 million dollars for. I purchased the 5-speed 2.5, and my only complaint is that my back gets sore from riding long trips. The seats dont provide much support and are pretty stiff.

  • 2005 GLI 1.8 Turbo - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

With all the hype about the new Jettta released mid year people have skipped right past the GLI 1.8T. Its hard to find any info on it. I love this car it flys! It stops on a dime and I get looks everywhere I go in it!

  • It is good for the money - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta

It always starts, the TDI is great for mileage. The handling is good for a car that is not a performance car.

  • Awesome new Jetta, wish gas was cheaper - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    By -

First time buyer of a VW or any German car, and I must say that the reputation of the performance and handling of the new Jetta stands strong. The car is very sturdy on freeways, the tiptronic kicks in smoothly when accelerating between speeds for that extra oomph of power and you hardly know when you are going over 70 mph. Handles superb turning and lane changes. Ive never been issued a speeding ticket before, but I just might now! Love the color (got the Graphite Blue). Great, modern interior and exterior look, LOVE the new chrome grill, super speakers, moonroof. Just wish that the fuel efficiency was better - Ive been filling up about $35/week which is a dent...but decent.

  • Pocket Rocket - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta

We bought this car for my wife brand new in 04 I guess. Its been great ever since and VW has stood behind it. My wife hit a curb, VW replaced the wheel and tire free of charge, a slight defect in the paint on the bumper was also fixed no problem. Fast with super gas mileage what more can you ask for.
