  • Just OK - 2015 Toyota Tundra

I chose the tundra over the GM products I would usually buy due to toyotas reputation for quality. When you get in it you realize this truck is a Toyota in name only. It uses the same interior materials as its American counterparts and many of the mechanical bits as well. The best part of this truck is the 5.7 liter v8. It has huge torque! I never feel it doesnt have enough power when towing a heavy trailer. The engine seems mechanically noisey and has a knocking sound that permeates the cab at idle. The transmission works well but is inconsistent in when and how it shifts. No auto transfer case available. All other full size pick ups have one available. Fuel economy is horrible, 12 mpg combined 17 low speed highway 15 high speed highway. The seats are very comfortable and large enough for bigger people. The hvac control panel has a cheap look and feel to it, air comes from the panel vents at all times and can not be shut off. Closing them does not stop it, normal operation it seems. Over all this truck seems very capable of doing what it was built for, but is decidedly American in its look and feel. Time will tell if it holds up to toyotas reputation. Resale value seems above average for its segment

  • Great truck - 2015 Toyota Tundra

Great truck, only draw back no automatic light or power rear slider unless you purchase the limited edition with the 5.7 engine. Cruise control switch awkward to use. Except for that great truck. Plenty of power for the 4.6l compare to Ford 5.0l. Average mileage 18mpg.

The Tundra Crewmax is a great truck that has plenty of room in the cab with simple controls on the dash that isnt too busy. A person dont need all that junk on the dash like others. If you are looking for a great truck that is very dependable look no further than the Toyota Tundra It may not get the very best fuel mileage compared to other trucks because it isnt a tin can like the GM and Ford trucks. Toyota includes Toyota care for 24 months after purchase so no worries about oil changes and tire rotations. I would rather sacrifice a few mpg for a good truck than pay for a truck with good mileage that is junk.

  • Great for me - 2015 Toyota Tundra

First Toyota truck. Owned Chevy, Ford. Overall this is a great truck, I have only had about 2 months. It has about 4300 miles on it so far. Its a great ride, not too soft not to rough, handles really good for a truck. Quiet interior while windows are rolled up, not too loud while all four are down. The only problem is passenger seat-belt buckle slams on window support with all four windows rolled down if there is no passenger. Lots of storage. This truck is easy to keep clean :-), not an excess of dips, curves and crevices. I went camping at beach my second week of owning this truck and fell asleep in front seat, didnt wake up hurting, just wish it had a 12v power port in bed and the fact that it has to be switched on for interior power ports to work is a bad idea. Had plenty of room for camping and fishing equipment. Engine is a monster, this truck is quick! Hit the gas and get down. Things I dont like: plastic intake plenum and oil filter cover, really, this is a truck dudes! No auto up on driver side window or neither on passenger on Limited pkg. But I wouldnt trade my truck for anything else, great truck!

  • Good but certain aspects make me go hmmmm - 2015 Toyota Tundra

I like the truck, but dont love it. I had to get rid of my 02 lexus lx470 (landcruiser) and it drove so great for a truck. This rides a little rough in the city, great highway truck. 4x4 engaged does not handle well at low speeds and sometimes the transmission has trouble finding the right gear on certain terrain. Interior is too plastic, antennae has to be manually removed and side mirrors are not auto either. passenger seat is manual and there is a lot of wasted space in the back that could be storage. However, I love it on regular driving, love the backseat room and sunroof and back window that totally drops down. The stereo is awesome. Gas mileage is terrible but that is expected. I drive my vehicles a long time so I bought it mostly for Toyota reliability and I personally thought it was a better truck than Chevy Silverado, Ford F150 and Dodge that I test drove.

  • "The Under Dog" 4.6 is a great truck - 2015 Toyota Tundra

I bought 4.6 double sr5 4x4 almost 2 years ago. Overall performance of the 4.6 is great for myself as I dont do a lot of pulling. I use the truck for lumber, hunting, sports activities for my children, its my everyday driver. Currently have 34,000 miles on the truck. No issues with anything as it shouldnt for its age. Over all impression, great value paid around 32k for it new, didnt think I could touch a Toyota at that. Checked out 2017 they range around 34k. Thats a reasonable price as far as Im concerned. Like the review camera. Like the over size touch screen for the radio. Love the front center fold down console/seat. If you ever need to haul a six person. Gas mileage in the summer if you drive it around 65 to 70 mph youll get 18-19 mpg. Winter same speed around 16-17 mpg depending on how cold it is. Only thing I dont like is the cheap looking gray steel wheels and the bed of the truck seems a little light weight. Had it out in some snow and ice didnt miss a beat. Like that the truck comes with some really good Michelin tires. The engine warms up quick in the winter cause its aluminum so thats a plus. Toyota care two yr , 25k mile free maintenance great. Like the truck has 10k oil changes less time and money later out of my pocket. Like that I have storage compartment under the back seat, lots of space under there. Over a great truck for me

  • Paint issues - 2015 Toyota Tundra
    By -

I purchased a 2015 SR5 4x4 double cab less than 3 weeks ago. I have approximately 1,200 miles on the vehicle. I even had the optional body guard installed for $785. Due to cold weather I have been unable to wash the vehicle until today. When I was finished washing the vehicle I noticed the paint already started to bubble around the bottom six inches of all four doors, both rear quarter panels, both front quarter panels and inside the bottom edge of the front door panels. No matter what the cause, this is ridiculous for a vehicle with 1,200 miles to have paint issues.
