The 2007 Toyota Tundra is completely redesigned. Larger and stronger than before, Toyota's full-size truck offers three cab sizes, three bed lengths and three engine choices, including an all-new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8.

Pros:
  • Wide range of cab and bed configurations, powerful 5.7-liter V8, high tow ratings, spacious passenger quarters, numerous safety and convenience features.
Cons:
  • Lots of hard plastic and a few ergonomic flaws in the cabin.

  • Best buy for the buck - 2007 Toyota Tundra

Almost bought another truck but gave the Tundra the once over. Spent more then planed, but after considering all others, there was no real choice. If your going to spend your hard earned buck, the Tundra beats others in many ways. MPG is great as I get 19.2 with mine, I only got 22.1 with my 4 cyl. The draw back is that my wife now wants to drive it all the time annd wants me to drive the van. Yuk!

First off this truck is a short bed not a long bed. Edmunds does not offer a choice for the short bed. I have the 5.7 V8 and it is bad to the bone. I have driven this about 1500 miles. Most of these miles were a road trip from Texas to Florida. I have no complaints with performance or reliability. This truck is Toyotas standard work truck but I plan to make it my sports truck. I am impressed with the options that are on this standard truck (dual zone climate control, mp3 player plug, transmission temp guage etc.). Also this truck is four wheel drive which is an added bonus. By the way I feel I got this truck much cheaper than I could get a Ford or Chevy. Fuel mileage so far 17.3/14.

  • Nice Ride - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I have been driving this truck (TRD Offroad, 5.7L) for 3 weeks now, and have found very little to pick on. The truck is powerful, quiet and refined. The suspension handles rough roads well, and the steering is responsive. The auto/man transmission allows the use of the transmission for braking, making quick slow downs or stops easy. The turning radius is excellent for a truck this size, making it maneuverable in tight spots. The seats are comfortable and the cab has plenty of space for 5 adults. Some of my buddies who are hard core Chev and Ford truck enthusiasts are impressed with what they see. My last truck was an 03 Tundra Ltd, and I feel this truck represents a big step ahead.

  • So Far so Good - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I bought this truck to replace a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. I went with the TRD package because I love the look. I drive 90 miles a day so comfort and reliability are also very important. After reading several reviews I went with the 5.7L V8 and man am I glad. This truck is pure fun. The ride is smooth and comfortable. My wife doesnt want to drive her Expedition anymore! Im not a big truck guy but this thing is perfect for people looking for the convenience of a truck and the ride of a car. The truck is big so people need to be aware that parking can be tight. With that said all I can say is, Toyota did it once again. Great job!

Very solid truck, no road noise, not so great on gas, but a 5.7 16 mpg around town is not too bad I guess. Only draw back, the bed walls are so high, it is hard to reach in and put stuff in the bed or remove it. I did not get the running boards on the truck when I bought it. I recommend the steps; trucks are so new, not much for after market gadgets for the 07 yet. No regrets, very solid truck, gets a lot of stares and questions from people as they see the Tundra redesign for the first time. Very satisfied customer.

  • Love the Tundra - Texas Female - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I love this truck. I can have a stressful day at work and when I get in my truck its all left behind. I wish I lived farther from work so I could drive it more. First vehicle Ive owned over 6 months and still love it. I still love walking out to a parking lot and knowing Im headed towards the best looking truck in the lot. Its just fun to drive. Getting on freeways is fun with the power of this truck. Watch your speed in this truck. Its so smooth I often catch myself speeding.

I owned a 2001 and this one blows it out of the water. My dad has owned both Chevy and Dodge which I have driven and neither is close. You cant go wrong with a Toyota. I love everything about this truck.

  • The Beast Truck Of All Trucks!!! - 2007 Toyota Tundra

The performance on this vehicle is amazing. Toyota really hit a grand slam with this one! From its design utility and performance is the best truck money can buy!! Trust me I drove them all and this truck by far exceeds all expectation of truck buyer.

  • Dont Buy!!! - 2007 Toyota Tundra
    By -

My wife and I purchased this vehicle less than a year ago to be our primary vehicle. Weve regretted buying it every day since! Toyota wont tell you theres a very real "bed-bounce" problem on many freeways (particularly Southern California) and the fuel economy isnt nearly as good as they claim. The truck hesitates at times, too, when you try to accelerate (because of towing differential) from a stop. Its not a $40,000 luxury car. Its a very nice "work" truck, but do not buy this truck if you want a comfortable drive on most concrete freeways! If you drive with infants or children, do not endanger them by putting them in this truck!!

  • Love of My Life - 2007 Toyota Tundra

Traded in 2003 Tundra, never had a problem except tranny a bit clunky when shifting. Very quiet comfortable ride. Wife hated previous tundra, loves this one. Two compaints: first, contrary to claim that truck is xm ready, it is not. You have to spend about $600 to use this feature (parts and labor) not including subscription. Second, the truck is extremely bouncy on anything other than smooth roads. I did discover that the tires came 10 lbs over pressurized and when I dropped it to mfg sugg. pressure it did improve it quite a bit but still not as smooth as my previous Tundra. Overall though I have been extremely happy with this truck.
