  • Great Truck - 2008 Toyota Tundra

I bought my Toyota about a year ago with the original tires. Mine seem fine, so Im not sure about previous reviews, besides who buys a full size pick-up for gas milage? The Tundra fits the bill in every sense. Great family truck, hauls and tows very nicely and looks great on the road with an aggressive front. Buy this now, you wont regret it!

  • Good truck - 2008 Toyota Tundra

I just traded in my 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe to buy a new 2008 Toyota Tundra. So far I love everything about the tundra. I was concerned about poor gas mileage, but that is not the case. The 5.7 L can actually get better gas mileage because it is a 6 speed. It all depends on how you drive it. The ONLY complaint I have about the Tundra is that the ride is a little bit rough. I think that the everything else about the Tundra is so nice though that it easily makes up for the rough ride.

  • Should have bought limited!! - 2008 Toyota Tundra
    By -

I have always wanted a truck and when I was finally allowed, I traded my Lexus LS430 and Ford Explorer. I am so happy with my decision. I have already upgraded with a truxedo cover, upgraded homelink mirror, running boards, and backup mirror. I have been buying a lot of my parts. Maybe I should have paid an 5k for the limited? Who cares? This truck fits me so well and is a joy to drive. I am excited everytime I go into the garage (which by the way, I had to clean out to the back wall to fit this monster in!). My only concern is driving through the parking garage in Philly and wondering if the top will scrape!

  • You deserve what you expect! - 2008 Toyota Tundra

I traded in a 1st generation Tundra for a 2nd gen. Tundra. I have hauled my family + car up and down the Rocky and Cascade Mountains with both trucks. As much as I liked the 4.7L, it knew the weight was there. But as I expected, the 5.7L didnt flinch or break a sweat going up the steep grades. Some owners find the engine braking annoying. However, I find that when you are hauling and going down a steep grade it allows for the driver to have control of the vehicle + whatever youre hauling. Overall, this truck has exceeded my expectations.

  • Awesome tow vehicle - 2008 Toyota Tundra

The 2008 Tundra is a fantastically well engineered vehicle. I use it to tow a large 2 horse BP trailer (loaded weight approximately 6700 lbs./ 600 lbs. tongue weight) to and from horse shows from Pennsylvania to Maine. It tows comfortably and most importantly safely. Fuel mileage while towing at interstate speeds is 11.5 mpg, non- towing 17.5 mpg. Very respectable fuel economy for this type of truck. Additionally I get positive comments everywhere I go on how nice the truck looks fitted with a Leer 100XL cap. I highly recommend this truck for towing & hauling.

  • Tundra Crew Max SR5 - 2008 Toyota Tundra
    By -

Good truck I have had Chevrolet / Dodge this my first Toyota. Great engine I have got 21 MPG with the big engine key is to use the cruise and leave it at 70 MPH. I also use either Mobil 1 or Valvoline Synthetic which helps a little. I wish Toyota had the compass in the SR5 package. Visibility is the worst of any truck I have had big blind spots could be fixed with split mirrors, but I did not want the towing mirrors. I bought the CrewMax for the rear leg room it is by far the biggest rear seat room cab. I am amazed that to change the oil the skid plate must be removed. I work for an automotive supplier and we supply all of the big 3 and transplants Toyota has the toughest specs.

  • Great truck for the price - 2008 Toyota Tundra

This truck is amazing for the price! They have all kinds of colors and models. Ive got a Toyota tundra double cab with runners on the side, tundra mat in the bed. I just traded in my 2008 Toyota Tacoma for this truck and the tundra is so much better. Has way more room and is comfortable.

  • Love my Truck! - 2008 Toyota Tundra
    By -

Toyota finally got it right with this beast! This is my first Toyota and I can agree that this is the best looking truck on the market. 381 HP and cavernous 2nd row is exceptional. This is not a work truck in my case, but has the versatility to either be a family mover or a HD truck if need be.

  • 08 Limited 5.7L - 2008 Toyota Tundra
    By -

I love this truck. I had a 2003 Tundra before this which was admittedly a little small and not powerful enough. Well the new design rocks. It definitely drives more like a full size truck, similar to F-150 or Silverado. The power is awesome, fantastic for towing, and has a great big bed with optional tie downs. Build quality is excellent, as you would expect, and I have had zero issues, not even a rattle in 10k miles. If you are considering a Detroit truck, you owe it to yourself to test drive the Tundra.

  • 2008 Toyota Tundra V6 SB - 2008 Toyota Tundra
    By -

First brand new vehicle Ive ever owned. I bought the v6 for the better gas mileage. I dont need to haul anything so the v6 was the better option. So far everything is great, except the radio seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. The dealer is ordering a new radio. The dealer said there have been problems with the radios. Very smooth ride for a pick up. Drives like a car. Plenty of room. Love the seating for 6.
