The 2007 Toyota Tundra is completely redesigned. Larger and stronger than before, Toyota's full-size truck offers three cab sizes, three bed lengths and three engine choices, including an all-new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8.

Pros:
  • Wide range of cab and bed configurations, powerful 5.7-liter V8, high tow ratings, spacious passenger quarters, numerous safety and convenience features.
Cons:
  • Lots of hard plastic and a few ergonomic flaws in the cabin.

  • Ive got the Pooooower baby! - 2007 Toyota Tundra

Wow! This truck is impressive. Had a Silverado before. This truck is as smooth ride wise but that is where the comparisons end. This truck is like a giant sports car! (smile) I agree with a comment made in another review. This truck is indeed pure fun. As far as gas mileage. Hey its a truck! If you are worried about gas mileage get yourself a little jetta. Ill stick with my Tundra thank you :) One word to describe this truck: Power. This truck is what other 1/2 ton trucks want to be when they grow up lol If youre thinking about getting one, go for it.

  • Best Truck Ever - 2007 CrewMax SR5 - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I have owned many trucks in my life. Fords were my truck of choice up until my 2004 Tundra. I just traded that in for a 2007 Tundra 5.7 Crewmax. Ive put about 6k miles on this thing and it is by far and away the best truck Ive experienced. Toyota thinks of everything down to the nth degree!

  • My wife loves it! - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I have the Timbermica green with the tan interior. 5.7 4x4 TRD. Two words: love it! The wife fell in love with it as soon as she drove it. It handles great, and for a truck with an off road package I dont think the ride is that bad. Fit and finish is great, and there is plenty of room on the inside for traveling or loading up the family for a Sunday outing. The 5.7 is quite and powerful. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

  • The best truck Ive ever owned. - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I have the double cab 5.7 with 4wd and the TRD package. The truck has great acceleration and it stops on a dime. The seats are very comfortable, and the instruments are easy to read. It handles better than my 2005 Tundra did. It also has a better turning ratio, which makes it much easier to turn. The exterior is very rugged. The interior looks very refined, and there are plenty of cup holders and outlets. I have the first one in town and it gets a lot of looks.

  • Great! - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I owned a 2006 Double Cab Tacoma before this, and that was a great truck, I am still currently breaking in the engine, and the scores I gave were rated with the idea that it is still a truck.

Tundra replaced a 1999 Suburban that was my work truck but just had too many reliability issues. The Tundra offered a configuration plus Toyotas reputation for reliability and durability. The Suburban was a great design and even as a work vehicle it was tough but just too many of the components died an early death. The Tundra is roomy, quite, powerful and came with a kicking stereo even though it is not a priority for me as this is a work truck. Ive put about 1100 miles so far and the ride, though choppy on concrete segmented roads, has smoothed out and of course, is much better with a load in the bed.

I look forward to driving this truck to work everyday. I actually get excited when its time to leave each morning. I have had no problems with this truck, period. My experience so far has been fantastic and the truck has exceeded all my expectations.

  • Wonder if engine will hold up. - 2007 Toyota Tundra
    By -

The 2007 Toyota Tundra is a nice truck, but I have a few complaints: the engine sounds like a diesel until it warms up, the ride is jarring, and it is hard to see when backing up. Toyota seems to use a lot of cheap plastic material; some have started to discolor already. When I ask the dealership for help on issues that seem to be abnormal it all ends up being normal; like the clattering engine, the vibration in the steering wheel and cupping tires, and transmission down shifting.

  • Great Truck - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I bought this truck after owning two older Tundras. Mine has every option and I spend alot of time on the highway. I many times will drive 600 miles a day and dont get home worn out from the ride. It is quick, powerful and fun to drive. I receive a lot of compliments on the truck from people who have been with me and from my wife when we use it to travel. She drives a Lexus LS 430 so she knows comfort. I currently have put 20000 miles on it and have no complaints. It is the 5.7 6-sp with 4WD and I am on the interstate constantly that is concrete and it drives very well, however, I have about 150lbs of weight in the bed always. I love the truck.

  • Awesome - 2007 Toyota Tundra

It is the truck that all guys would have designed themselves. Power, towing, 4x4 and stopping... and so far reliable. I DO NOT want service. To me that means it is broke!
