This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Tundra is completely redesigned. Larger and stronger than before, Toyota's full-size truck offers three cab sizes, three bed lengths and three engine choices, including an all-new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8.

Pros:
  • Wide range of cab and bed configurations, powerful 5.7-liter V8, high tow ratings, spacious passenger quarters, numerous safety and convenience features.
Cons:
  • Lots of hard plastic and a few ergonomic flaws in the cabin.

  • The best truck Ive ever owned. - 2007 Toyota Tundra

I have the double cab 5.7 with 4wd and the TRD package. The truck has great acceleration and it stops on a dime. The seats are very comfortable, and the instruments are easy to read. It handles better than my 2005 Tundra did. It also has a better turning ratio, which makes it much easier to turn. The exterior is very rugged. The interior looks very refined, and there are plenty of cup holders and outlets. I have the first one in town and it gets a lot of looks.

I owned a 2006 Double Cab Tacoma before this, and that was a great truck, I am still currently breaking in the engine, and the scores I gave were rated with the idea that it is still a truck.

I look forward to driving this truck to work everyday. I actually get excited when its time to leave each morning. I have had no problems with this truck, period. My experience so far has been fantastic and the truck has exceeded all my expectations.

I bought this truck after owning two older Tundras. Mine has every option and I spend alot of time on the highway. I many times will drive 600 miles a day and dont get home worn out from the ride. It is quick, powerful and fun to drive. I receive a lot of compliments on the truck from people who have been with me and from my wife when we use it to travel. She drives a Lexus LS 430 so she knows comfort. I currently have put 20000 miles on it and have no complaints. It is the 5.7 6-sp with 4WD and I am on the interstate constantly that is concrete and it drives very well, however, I have about 150lbs of weight in the bed always. I love the truck.

It is the truck that all guys would have designed themselves. Power, towing, 4x4 and stopping... and so far reliable. I DO NOT want service. To me that means it is broke!

I absolutely love this truck. I have owned 3 reg cab short bed 2wd chevy silverados w/ the 5.3. I almost bought another but at the last minute, I dedcided to just go check out the new Tundra. I am all about performance and without even driving the reg cab short bed 5.7, I ordered one. I drove the crew max 4x4 and it had more get up and go than the above mentioned chevy. Yeah its got a bigger engine but also a lot more weight. I have absolutely no regrets. The performance is ridiculous. I mean it hauls serious booty. It looks mean, rides smooth, and gets there with the quickness. Its not a work truck and I dont haul or pull anything. So in short I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TRUCK!!

  • Great Truck - Congratulations Toyota - 2007 Toyota Tundra

In terms of carrying capacity, this is the lightest duty truck I have ever owned. In terms of overall quality and versatility, it is the best. Toyota has overcome previous problems with ring gears, brakes, power and ergonomics and has produced a vehicle that would please even the most critical of those among us who actually expect a vehicle to do serious work. The 6 speed transmission is flawless. Brakes are superb. Interior comfort and ride is better than many cars. Acceleration is awesome. Towing capacity is 10,000 pounds plus, as advertised. Stable, safe, well put together. I now have 3500 tough miles on her and not a hint of a problem. Best truck I have ever owned.

This is the smoothest truck on the market. It has great acceleration not to mention the towing capacity. Toyota has realy out done themselves this time. They made a good product better.

Always a believer in supporting the domestics, Dodge and GMC; however their transmissions came up short. Just rebuilt the GMC with 32000 and decided on a switch. Impressed with the 5 speed transmission (sweet shift) and the quality, fit and finish are good. Six cylinder is good on gas, 17 city 21 highway.

  • A pleasure to ride - 2007 Toyota Tundra

The funnest vehicle Ive ever had. After 50,000 miles, averaging 18 MPG. I can get about 480 miles on a tank on the freeway. The power is awesome. This truck replaced my Tacoma, which I loved, but this vehicle is everything I imagined and more. Only maintenance has been the routine stuff. This truck is perfect for pulling my trailer of ATVs, or even just loading one in the bed. I figure Ill get about 100,000 miles and trade it in for a newer model, so my next one will probably be in 2011. Way to go TOYOTA!
