Overview & Reviews
The 2007 Toyota Tundra is completely redesigned. Larger and stronger than before, Toyota's full-size truck offers three cab sizes, three bed lengths and three engine choices, including an all-new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8.
- Wide range of cab and bed configurations, powerful 5.7-liter V8, high tow ratings, spacious passenger quarters, numerous safety and convenience features.
- Lots of hard plastic and a few ergonomic flaws in the cabin.

Regrets - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By Lonestar - May 16 - 7:26 pmI bought this truck with reservations because it was made in my home state. Give me back my Ford F-150 with 245,000 miles on it! This truck has been nothing but dissapointing. The seats are hard and uncomfortable, the dash looks like it was pieced together by a dozen differnt designers, and guages are obstructed by the steering wheel. With a load, this truck struggles. Interior and exterior Trim pieces are loose- nothing major and I fixed them myself- but not what I expected from a $30,000+ vehichle. Truck looks aggresive and heavy, and it handles as such. The truck seems to struggle around the corners and rides rough. Nothing what I expected with Toyotas so-called "quality"

Buyer this is NOT your fathers Toyota - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By Tim - March 24 - 9:10 amThis truck may prove that Toyotas reputation for dependability is a thing of the past. On my 3rd day of ownership I stopped at the spray wash and watched in horror as the pressure wash sprayed the paint off the hood. This was the first of many, many problems: stability control failed, my 9 year old pulled the door closed and broke it, tailgate jammed shut, windshield wiper broke, tire pressure sensor failed...all this in only 6 weeks of ownership. Im in the process now of claiming it under the lemon laws.

Dont Buy!!! - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By CFowl - August 24 - 6:56 pmMy wife and I purchased this vehicle less than a year ago to be our primary vehicle. Weve regretted buying it every day since! Toyota wont tell you theres a very real "bed-bounce" problem on many freeways (particularly Southern California) and the fuel economy isnt nearly as good as they claim. The truck hesitates at times, too, when you try to accelerate (because of towing differential) from a stop. Its not a $40,000 luxury car. Its a very nice "work" truck, but do not buy this truck if you want a comfortable drive on most concrete freeways! If you drive with infants or children, do not endanger them by putting them in this truck!!

Very weak truck - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By kboyfrommd - June 20 - 8:16 pmI have to say this was the worst truck I ever owned. Constant mechanical problems (broken tailgate, transmission issues, engine knock). It was also one of the most uncomfortable trucks to drive any distance. It was rough riding and hard to keep on the road (jittery). I sold it after 6 months and will never own a Toyota again. Stay away.

Worst Vehicle Ive Ever Owned - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By Tim - April 16 - 1:26 amIm 41 years old and have owned trucks from Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Ford, and now Toyota (I have no brand loyalty). Without a doubt, this is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned!! Ive had so many problems, Im not sure where to begin. I have owned the truck for 5 months, and it has 9100 miles. That may seem like a lot, but I usually drive about 35k miles a year (so it should have about 17k miles, not 9). Why the low miles? Because, it spends all its time in the shop. Engine, brakes, paint (2 complete paint jobs on a brand new truck...downright criminal), transmission (on its third), ECM, constant engine codes, dash rattle, rusting bumpers, ignition stuck, bad drive shaft.

Like a Rock- not - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By Ranchman - July 29 - 9:56 amI bought the extended cab, and have been highly dissapointed. I was attracted to the design, and that did not dissapoint. I have been highly dissapointed otherwise. The engine in this truck is noisy especially when towing. It revs real hig with a load, and despite the commercials, I do not feel confident hauling as I did with my Dodge. Fuel economy is averageing about 11 MPG city/highway. Build quality is substandard. Cracked and loose plastic trim. I hate the instrument panel- very poorly designed but the outside makes up for it. Seats are hard and uncomfortable as is the ride- especailly over rutted pavement and is unbearable on dirt roads. I think this will be my last Toyota.

Engine Trouble - I feel misled - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By Jerry Browning - January 15 - 9:53 amIm one of the unlucky few (or many) with the 5.7 engine trouble. I hope Toyota recalls this engine. I feel misled by Edmunds.com for raving about this truck almost guaranteeing reliability because its a Toyota. Guess what. Toyota reliability is overated, now I know. I need to mention that this truck left me stranded out on the freeway. I had to wait 4 hours for a tow truck.

Poor Quality - 2007 Toyota Tundra
By t1 - January 8 - 6:40 pmOne was led to believe that toyota was higher quality, but since the start nothing but problems and at 82,000 miles fuel injectors problems on 5.7L engine. Major repair over $ 3,600. Never had a truck with this major repair with less that 100,000 miles. Not built to stand up to heavy duty use.
