Wow - 1997 Toyota T100
By Bill - October 28 - 2:43 pmI bought this truck only a month ago, as a weekend toy/home maint vehicle. However, I have fallen in love with it and want to drive it all the time! Its my second Toyota and not my last. It has 193,000 miles on it, but looks great in/out, no leaks, no smoking. I was looking for a Tacoma when I stumbled onto this truck, this truck should have been better publicized!

Tuff T100 - 1998 Toyota T100
By 1998 TOY T100 - June 9 - 2:16 pmPurchased this vehicle new. Replaced timing chain, water pump, at 100000 as a maintenance measure. This truck was built tough and dependable. If you are looking for a 98 and able to find one, buy it. You wont regret it.

Best Vehicle Ive Ever Owned - 1997 Toyota T100
By Stephen - February 24 - 12:23 amI bought this vehicle new and have put nearly every mile on it. The truck has far exceeded my expectations. It is now over 11 years old and has 215,000 miles on it. Outside of normal maintenance items, the only things Ive replaced are the drivers seat belt, a $30 switch to the 4wd solenoid, and the CV boots. Thats it! The truck averages 20 mpg which I consider great for a nearly full size truck with 4wd. It does have the manual transmission and Im still on the first clutch but shifting is starting to get rougher (synchronizer?) Driving at 65 mph with no A/C, it gets 21 to 23 mpg. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a reliable truck. I wish they still made them!

They dont bulid them like this anymore - 1998 Toyota T100
By jfl1963 - January 28 - 4:41 amIve owned my truck for 11 years. I will take this truck to the grave with me. Over the 11 years, the truck has taken great care of me, and I have taken great care of it. Yes, Ive replaced a few items that have failed, but the truck is 15 years old. Biggest expense was replacing full exhuast system last month. This truck has a perfect balance of everything: looks, size, reliability, and performance. I haul heavy materials and motorcycles in the bed and the truck never misses a beat. Id have to spend $40K on a new truck to get what I get from my truck, and I could never justify that. I paid $15K with 50,000 miles on it. 11 years later, I have 127,000. Still going strong.

Almost perfect - 1997 Toyota T100
By bob - October 18 - 8:00 amIve owned this T100 for 8 years and have had not problems to speak of. I live in the mountains in Colorado with snow on the ground 6 months of the year. The 4 wheel drive works much better than the American work vehicles that I drive. It now has 225,000 miles on it and it runs and looks great. I would definitely buy another T100 if they offered at V8 version. My next truck will be a Tundra with a V8.

Smart move! - 1998 Toyota T100
By Fishbone - April 16 - 10:00 amI made the transition from a Nissan compact truck to this gem. Not only am I amazed by the power of the V6, the good gas mileage and the dependability, I am most impressed by the ride. Honest, my 98 rides like a cadillac! I carry my 670 pound John Deere tractor and pull a trailer full of band gear all over the North Country and have never had a power issue. True love.

VERY HAPPY - 1997 Toyota T100
By Cesar Ruvalcaba - February 28 - 5:10 amGiven the regular maintenance, it works flawlessly. The only repair needed in 8 years has been the starter! I love it, VERY dependable, never broken down or even gotten close to it.

97 T-100 - 1997 Toyota T100
By DC Mike - July 19 - 2:00 amMy T-100 has been amazing!! Ive had it since it was a baby at only 15,000 miles, and it now has 122,000 miles. It runs like a swiss watch, the only thing I have done to it is replace the front brakes, and change the oil, tune up is coming soon. Ive beaten the crap out of it off road, and driven it a TON on the highway, rides like a Cadillac.
