Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Always carry jumper cables - 2006 Toyota Sienna

Excellent vehicle overall and would highly recommend except for the battery. Ive lost track how many times weve had to jump start it for the most minor or unknown reasons; e.g. just using the cd player for an hour while waiting in line for a ferry or leaving the rear hatch door not completely engaged (easy to do) will result in a no start in just a couple days. Ive never owned a car this sensitive to battery discharge.

  • So far so good - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Really like the versatility of the Base Sienna. Removable seats and the folding 3-Row is a great feature. Runs great for a minivan. The 4 cyl engine (hard to get in the Los Angeles area) has enough pep to get us around town. Strangely, when I was looking into the jack compartment in the back of the van, it seems there was a big motor there which I think could only be for the sliding doors but this van does not have auto sliding doors. does this mean it can be upgraded?

  • Best Minivan in the human history so far - 2011 Toyota Sienna

We just bought an SE 2 weeks ago. Drives better than my 2002 Odyssey. Acceleration is good. The appearance is just stunning. I got a pre-dawn Gray. It perfectly matches the black interior. I cant take my eyes of it. Sorry wife . My wife and I and our 4 kids all love it very much.

  • Be careful! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

In just two new months Ive been in three fender benders! I have a silver van and everything shows, and, a little bump caused huge damage. My front right grill came off and my back door was indented not only in the point of impact but also to the far right.

we looked at all kinds of cars & suv but the only one that made real sense for the family was the sienna. the sienna came out on top for overall build, interior design and confort, Road noise is almost obsolete, controls are very user friendly. vehicle is the most confortable that we have ever owned. all seats are as confortable as drivers seat. with the middle row seats moved next to each other a full grown adult can sit in the back row with extrem confort and stretch their legs out. all seats recline with head rest adjustments total plus excellent vehicle.

  • Very Happy Owner - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Traded in 2001 Caravan Sport for 2004 Sienna CE. Wife is 51" and had problems driving/parking the Caravan. No such problems with the Sienna. Plenty of power. Great fuel economy. Quiet ride. Great visibility. Front/rear wiper switches (all on one arm) can be confusing. Very happy with everything else.

  • My first Toyota and some problems - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The van has been nice for our family of four. It is very nice on road trips so the kids can spread out. We bought the LE model and now Im wondering if the XLE would have been better since it has leather and the power rear gate. Our average mileage has been 20mpg. Not as high as the sticker, but are they ever? This is our first Toyota and we expect high quality due to their reputation. Were disappointed with quality issues weve had with sliding door noise and design of radio is the pits. In sunshine the radio display can be impossible to read.

  • Sienna XLE 2010: A Giant - 2010 Toyota Sienna

Sienna XLE has been given all the bells and whistles that can be given to a mini van; it has comfortable seats, mine is a 7 passenger so enough space for my wife to move around the vehicle and take care of kids while theyre on the road. The only problem I have with this van is the accelerator and brake pedals are installed at much lower height which makes me change my sitting posture at least 2-3 times even if it is less than 2 hours drive one way. I have owned it for last over 2 weeks and have already put on over 1300 miles on it; 21mpg is what I am getting (all are highway miles). Overall I am satisfied with this van and will recommend it to my friends!

  • New Parent - 2004 Toyota Sienna

As a new parent I dreaded the day of getting the "soccer vehicle" however since getting the Sienna I have had nothing but compliments from all of my friends and the ones who pick on me for having a van ride in it one time and then say nothing but great things about it. Very roomy and after comparing it to the Honda 2004, you know the one, I was amazed at the difference. The leather is much nicer along with the ride from the back seats.

I never thought that I would be saying that, but its true. I love the way the minivan drives - smooth, excellent pick-up, and comfortable. Lots of storage - our double stroller easily fits in the back. Getting my daughters into their car seats is easy and I love being able to move the seats closer so that the front passenger can feed my infant daughter if necessary. The gas mileage has been great, particularly since we are putting more city miles than highway on. The split third row will come in handy when we travel to Yosemite with a friend, two pack-n-plays, the double stroller, back packs, luggage, and wedding gifts. I dont miss my car one bit.
