Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Great Van, Worst than expected mileage - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Great design (split foldaway rear seat is a must for 3 kids). Bigger than my old Silhouette. Noticed my mileage is less than 20 mpg on mostly hwy driving while a friends 2004 XLE is getting 25.9 on his computer. Based on actual fillups so far the computer mileage is pretty accurate. Also seems to be some engine hesitation when trying to accel at low speeds..need to push the pedal fully to get the engine to respond. Anyone else notice this?

  • Love my Sienna!...except.... - 2001 Toyota Sienna

One little thing I cannot stand is there is no driver control for interior lighting. There should be a way for the driver to control the lights from the cockpit. My kids love to press buttons and I usually dont find out they have turned on the interior lights in the back until we are all strapped in. You have to enter the cabin to turn off the back lights.

Sweet ride for a minivan. Turns out minivans are cool. Who knew?

  • What Toyota Reliability?! - 2002 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We bought our 2002 Toyota LE because of the reliability ratings. What a joke. Our van developed a brake squeal almost immediately after purchasing. Van pulls to the right or left at 60 mph. Engine has 66,000 miles and is sludged and needs $2000 in repairs. After researching we found out that the brakes, engine sludge and pulling are Toyota factory flaws and Toyota has numerous lawsuits pending against them. Wish we known before purchasing, we would have bought an Odyssey!

  • Excellent purchase - 2005 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna is without a doubt the best selection in the mini van class. I was able to find this out during the test drive and my opinion has not changed over the last 8000 miles. It did cost more but I belive it was worth it.

Own 2006 xle trade for 2014 limited.

  • Thank God its on a lease! - 2001 Toyota Sienna

Have nothing but brake problems. Rear brakes hum when stopping - told this was "normal noise" for a Sienna. Very irritating. Had rotors sanded down after only 15,000 miles. 1 week later had metal crunching sound when stopping. Was told "nothing looks wrong". Was also told by dealer not to come back with rear brake noise that theres nothing they can do. Drivers side slider door rattles. Rattle in rear seats about drives me nuts Yes, its been in to be fixed under warranty. Still rattles. Was planning to buy it at end of lease. Im just glad im not stuck with it and can turn it in and be finished with this lemon when the lease is up.

  • Never thought Id like a Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I swore I wouldnt be caught dead in the drivers seat of a minivan. Well, a couple of kids changed all that, plus the quality of ride and comfort features. Id consider the this more of a luxory car with massive cargo space. Yet, it gets fantastic gas mileage. More utility than an SUV, though it could never replace a pick up. It sure beats the pants off the 4-door car we used to squeeze into. We looked at every make of minivan. It was by far the most family oriented. Only the Caravan seemed to handle better, but I kept hearing about transmission problems etc. The new carvans middle row that folds into the floor was very uncomfortable exhaust touchable by lil hands.

Great van with many options. We choose less options just to be able to afford the van. We have had it a week and just love it.

  • Great Reliable Family Vehicle - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We bought our Sienna in 03, and had for 6 years. We just recently sold to a family of 5. We were sad to see it go, but ready for something more sporty. Only issues were A/C motor, window off track, and tires wore down quickly. There was a weird noise when windows were down, and the drive by wire technology caused a jerking motion sometimes upon acceleration. These are minor to us considering 126,000 miles and no major mechanical issues. Has lots of room, and rides unbelievably smooth. We just bought an 05 Highlander, and hope to have same experience.
