Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Great Choice! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I put a lot of time into choosing this car. Final decision, came down to Sienna, Odyssey, and Quest. All had pros and cons, but the overall feel I got from the Sienna could not be beat. The quality of the Sienna overshadowed the Quest and the Odyssey and the cost was similar. Sounds weird, but but the Sienna feels "homey"...like a home away from home.

I grew up as a Toyota person and my first car was a Toyota Supra, then Celica GT, then another Celica GT. Now I have a Sienna with every option possible and unbenounced to me, I have lived the past two years as the most frustrated person owning a vehicle. The warranty support by Toyota is poor at best when comparing to Honda...thus the need for extensive warranty in the first 24 months speaks to itself. Never say never...but my intent is to rid myself of this Toyota and never own another Toyota product.

  • Could be a lot better - 2008 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We bought this used model (2008) from the Toyota dealer with 70K on it. The price was reasonable. The interior is poor. The rear passenger air turns on and off intermittently without anyone turning on. I read a lot of similar complaints on the ToyotaSienna online forum. The dealer said it is what it is (as is condition). I tried to look up for the solution, no solution found. The seats are poor quality. The hand rest for all seats are poorly built. It is really not so convenient for the driver to use the hand rest (Right). The center console between the driver and passenger could have been made better (which I suppose is now taken care in the new model). Poor quality seat belts.

  • Back Again - 2006 Toyota Sienna

This is my second review. Bought it new Nov 2006. Currently have 17000 miles on it. This is my third Toyota. A little disappointed with build quality: had to replace the wiper motor within 2-3 months (making horrible noise), will have to replace the motor near the passenger side blower vent (makes noise at lower speed). Otherwise satisfied with the car. Can get around 23.5 mpg in combined hwy/city, if I drive <= 65 mph. With the fuel cost where they are, I usually try to maximize mpg. I have noticed a deadspace when the transmission shifts from one gear to the other (seems like from second to third), which is kind of weird. Overall though, I am satisfied.

  • Toyota Sienna Rocks! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This is an absolutely great vehicle. I love my Toyota Sienna. I drive about 30 miles to work, this vehicle makes its so much easy. Very smooth and steering gentle unlike my VW with is sporty and tight. If you are looking to buy a new or used Sienna just buy it blind-folded, you will not go wrong. Dont expect a great interior or a car that turns head, but if you are looking for maintenance free & great ride quality, this is the one.

  • Lovin It - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I personally love the Sienna. I decided I wanted to test drive the new Sienna after having driven an older model. The quality was there and I thought "Wow, if they have improved on this I need to see it to believe it" Boy have they ever improved." The Sienna is "the Lexus of minivans" I actually enjoy commuting to work. The drive seems less painful now that I have a comfortable fun vehicle to drive.

I love this car. Mileage is about 27 miles /gal. highway. The ride is great and I love the spaciousness. I can drive long distances without tiring. The only things that I would change are some of the things that Toyota has done with the new ones - 2nd seat side windows should move, back seats should drop into the floor. I do wish that they would have put an outdoor thermometer on it.

  • Buy it again - 2000 Toyota Sienna

Owned our Sienna for 8/ 1/2 years, was a great car, 100% reliable, always dealer serviced and never any mechanical issues. Well done. Hated to see it go, but needed a bigger rig.

  • My whole family loves the minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The Sienna is truly best overall minivan for (big) family. It is the roomiest among all and with tasteful and functional interior. The powerful 3.3L is very capable of handling highway passing. Its handling is almost as good as the best in class Odyssey.
