Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • A solid feeling car but... - 2009 Toyota Sienna

We purchased a 2009 Sienna XLE in October. I never thought to ask if it was winterized. With the first dusting of snow I skidded around, and found out the antilock brakes do work. My windows are frozen shut, it is 20 degrees here, but will be getting much colder. So I came home and got into my 13 yr old Ford Windstar, that I did not slide and the windows are not frozen, even though it too is sitting outside. I guess the all "season tires" that are OE need replaced for the winter. And I will have to be sure it is winterized. The dealers said you cant special order. It seems that for $30,000 you shouldnt have to "settle

My wife and I bought this Sienna new and every 3,000 miles have it serviced. It has over 132,000 miles and for the exception of an alternator has never required any repairs other than the usual brake linings, tires, batteries, etc. It has a lot of "punch when you step on the gas; almost like youre driving a race car! This was the first non-American vehicle I ever bought and for reliability beats all the American cars Ive ever owned hands down! This is a great car for a family who doesnt want to shell out a lot for repairs.

  • Best car Ive ever owned! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After test driving the 04 Odyssey, Mazda MPV, Nissan Quest I knew I wanted the Totyota Sienna, this car is extremely quiet, plenty of power, lots of storage and compartments, mine has the standard 6 speaker stereo and the no7 package. The fit and finish inside is impeccable, this is the first Toyota Ive owned and I will probably be a customer for life, average fuel mileage in town is around 22 to 24 mpg. according to the tripcomputer. Highly recommend this car! It truly drives like a Lexus, with the storage of a u-haul.

  • I never thought I would own a Minivan... - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Having never owned a minivan, my wife and I were new to the market. We narrowed it down to the Honda or the Toyo. After driving both, my wife was sold on the Sienna. The Toyota dealer was laid back, very little pressue and listened to what we wanted. The Honda dealer was very aggressive, "how can I put you in a Honda today". The 60/40 back seat and the ability to open/close the back seat with one hand on the Toyota was a major plus. We had no problem paying a little more for the Toyota when we plan to have the van for 7-8 years. Bottom Line: It is the best van on the road.

  • This is my second Sienna - 2004 Toyota Sienna

The new 2004 is so much bigger than the 2000. My kids love it!! The comfort and the security of knowing the saftey features of this model has no price. I have many friends that have a 2004 and they love theirs too. I drove all the minivans, The honda was very low like a car, and the power is ok, The Caravan is overpriced for the quality. You will not be unhappy with this car!!!!

  • Toyota Sienna: Best Van 4 the $$$ - 2007 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The resale, fit and finish, stability, reliability, transmission, engine, dash board views, and rubber/ plastic movement and sound surpass the other minivans. The Sienna is heavy duty family grade. We drove the Honda and it was really nice. But not as heavy duty as the Sienna. The Toyota is much studier and feels better on the road. We love this van and I swore Id never buy one!!

If you are destined to drive a mini van the Sienna is the way to go. The all wheel drive is great in the snow.

  • no longer afraid of minivans - 2006 Toyota Sienna

I enjoy driving the sienna. I was very surprised on just how much it handles like a car. The style and ride of this van makes me wonder why I was afraid of minivans in the first place. I drove a kia previously and can feel, see, and enjoy the difference between the two. Although I have only had had the vehicle for 3 weeks it has surpassed what I was expecting

  • Too Many Problems! - 2006 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I have owned the sienna for 3 years now and absolutely hate it. I have never gotten better than 20 mpg highway. There have been numerous electrical problems. The stereo stops working randomly and kicks out cds. The rear a/c-heat controls do not funtion all the time. Only one of the power outlets works. The front floor vents were not functioning, found out they were blocked. The leather on the seats shows severe rubbing from the seat belt. The paint is poor quality. When I accelerate the van jerks. Dealer said this is normal. The seats are extremely uncomfortable for rides over 30 miles. The tires had to be replaced at 15,000 miles, not run flats. Did I get a lemon or are others just awed by the options?
