Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Great family car - 2010 Toyota Sienna

I did a lot of research before my purchase and read about and compared (test-drove) the competition. None of the other mini-vans even compare. I love the ride, my wife feels confident driving it. My little girl loves seeing out the window. A big part of our decision was the reliability and safety reputation of Toyota. There are so many great convenience features, and this sits, rides, and is quiet like a luxury vehicle. We are thrilled with this van!

  • Loved It Until Doors Malfunctioned - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We loved this van until the sliding power doors started giving trouble. The driver side door cable became frayed (at 65K miles) and is on the verge of breaking. After getting a quote of about $1200+ to fix it, we just stopped using the door. Now the passenger side is making popping sounds and it might go soon. We will eventually just use the doors in manual mode. This seems to be a design flaw that troubles a lot of owners. We have always been a Toyota family, but may now consider other brands.

  • Like the van... kind of - 2007 Toyota Sienna

Nearing one year with 2007 Sienna, 18k miles. Great room for kids and all that comes with them. Drives nice, with lots of power. Handling not so great, breaking a bit scary at times due to the soft break pedal. Interior quality is not so Toyota-like; needs refinement with attention to materials and finish. A/C needs more power to the back seats. I would like to say the gas mileage is better then I thought. Were getting around 22-23 MPG combined and the added power is nice to have during traffic in/outs.

  • Dissatisfied - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I own a 2004 (8 seating) Toyota Sienna LE. I have had to replace tires 2 times. There have been 5 or 6 recalls. It is in the shop today with loud humming noise from engine. But the most disappointing thing is that the dash has split in 3 places. I contacted the dealership and Toyota directly and they offered me no help. The car was beyond its warranty, but I have owned 8 cars (4 Toyotas) during my driving life and have never had a dash split. Toyota told me that I must have done something to it, although they could not suggest what it might be. The van is kept in a garage when not in use and I always crack the windows when it is summer time. Cannot recommend Toyota anymore.

  • Very Good Van - 2000 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We got our Sienna in 1999 when the new Honda van just came out. We couldnt even find one to test drive. We looked at the Sienna and the Villager and it was a no contest. This van is good to drive, allows flexible seating and storage, and is extremely durable. We just paid it off and are looking forward to driving it for another four years.

  • Great Van For Real Men - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I love my Sienna SE. It looks good, fun to drive, fast, comfortable. Ive owned a lot of cars in my 69 years and this is one of the best. I see a lot of people dont like the interior dash material. I like it very much. I think it has a rich feel to it. Not a fan of the design of the dash. It looks to feminan for me. I went from a full size Chevy conversion van to this and I seem to have just as much room. Since the seats fold, I think I can get more stuff in this than my Chevy. Wont go into details but had problems with the Chevy was reason for changing. Never been a fan of the Toyota logo so I changed all the emblems to Lexus. Some may not approve of this but I get a lot of looks.

  • Our first Toyota, but not our last - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I have never purchased a minivan or a foreign made auto. We were considering the Honda and the salesman told us to check out the Sienna. We were blown away. Unlimited features and the performance and comfort of any luxury car on the market. We purchased the LE model and havent had one negative thing to sa about the van. To all the men out there who have wives who want a minivan and you are against it. Try the Sienna, it won me over instantly, and Im sure it will do the same for you.

We just got the 06 LE 8 passenger. Very functional for our family with 2 kids. Drives nice, lots of room, interior can be changed to fit our needs, good fuel economy (compared to my prior SUV). The ride could be a little quieter tho.

  • Great 1st Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

This is our first endeavour into the minivan world. As BMW and Subaru drivers, this was a new experience for us. Suprisingly, we love to drive it! It drives like the car and there are many more comfort features than in the BMW. During our first week, we put it through the paces with a 300 mile trip to our vacation. MPG was awesome at 26 MPG. Navigating through the cabin to take care of our son was a breeze. The seats fold down/up so quickly, it is extremely useful. And the ride, no matter where you are sitting is extremely comfortable. We made the right decision with this vehicle.
