Overview & Reviews
Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.
In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

Im too tall for this vehicle - 2008 Toyota Sienna
By a bit disappointed - December 22 - 3:36 amIm 6 feet tall and my husband is 62". This vehicle is designed for much shorter drivers. There is not much thigh support and 3 hour drives are torture. I am looking to find a "booster seat" type of seat for me because Id planned to have this van for many years. I bought it because I had a used 2000 Sienna XLE that I flipped over on icy roads and no one was hurt although the van was totaled. I am disappointed because I am so uncomfortable driving it. It is currently at the dealership because the radio malfunctioned and one of the tire pressure gauges is broken and shows that we always have a low tire. I love Toyota normally but have been so disappointed with this one.

fun to drive - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By score - December 17 - 7:33 amIt is smooth and fun to drive. Very thouthful options. Best value in any minivan for 2005, only tricky honda minivan came close. Toyota has far superior intrumentation quality and reliablity compared to honda because i own both vehicles.

First Van - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By CMR - December 16 - 7:33 amWe purchased our van with the premium package. Paid about 3k under MSRP. We were looking for an SUV but found the Sienna to be more practical. It is by far the best looking van on the market. There will be a new Honda Odyssey this year but the pictures online dont impress. Our initial thoughts on the van: Super quiet. Super fun to drive. Great turning radius. Fun options. Options packages are too expensive. Would have went with the limited but the interior styling is over the top.

Outstanding mini-van!!! - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By ron - December 14 - 6:23 amWe purchased our Sienna CE in June of 05 and have logged 24K miles absolutely trouble-free. Transitioned from a Pontiac Transport, a disaster of a mini-van. The Sienna is quiet on the road, smooth to drive, has solid pick-up, Toyota reliability, and a great buy for the money. We are surprised that it is not cited as "best buy" for 05 vehicles! I would not hesitate to buy another!!

Back Seat Driver - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Kaddy512 - December 14 - 2:00 amIts an okay car from my stand point (The back seat). The second row seats are pretty confortable but the 3rd row seats are stiff. I spent a 8 hour trip in the 3rd row and had back and neck spasms the next day. Everything else in the car is great.

Me - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Meeem - December 14 - 2:00 amI have had a great experiance with my van so far. I needed the eight seats and even with the extra seat, it is quite easy to get in and out of. The fold away third seat is great! The gear shifter being in a different spot was a bit awkward for about a day. Now it makes sense because it gives you more control on the steering wheel. Lots of room in all seating areas. Lots of storage space throughout the van.

Plastic Door Handles - 1999 Toyota Sienna
By PlasticToyotas - December 7 - 2:33 amWhy on Earth would ANY car company use plastic door handles that break continuously? We are extremely gentle on the handles since we discovered this scam that Toyota has. The handles still break. Since buying this van all of the door handles have been broken at least once and some have broken more than once. Again, we are very gentle with the door handles and they still break. This is such an issue with me that I will NOT buy another Toyota that has plastic parts that are pulled on. My drivers door handle just cost $125 (parts only) at the dealership, the only place locally to get the parts. I have no plans to ever buy a Toyota again because of this.

A Great Family Vehicle - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By Herbert - November 28 - 5:00 pmThis is a great vehicle for family. Roomy, comfortable, smooth and quite ride, excellent details such as grocery hooks, handles and reading light for every seat except the middle 3rd row seat (understandably). Excellent stereo sound. Really fun to drive (its not a sport sedan of course). Excellent reliability (ok, I only have 4,000 km on this van, but from my previous ownerships of 12 years for a Previa and 9 years for a Camry.)

Great design, poor quality - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Gabriel - November 28 - 3:03 pmThe design is excellent, but since the very beginning I have had numerous qualtiy problems. Battery dead twice. Sliding door did not work (spring broken), despite many repairs, sun roof auto feature does not work, air conditioning broke down (car two and a half weeks in shop), back panel of driver seat fell off, heated driver seat did not work, also one or two recalls.

Smooth ride - 2005 Toyota Sienna
By bsedgal - November 27 - 10:29 amWe got this van 4 years ago and it had 95K miles. It was the xle limited version with all the bells and whistles. Heated leather seats, rear ac controls, pull down built-in blinds, dvd player with separate head phones. Interior and exterior are great. We now have 180K miles and major mechanical has been very reliable on this van. No engine or transmission problems. I have been good at keeping up with the maintenance schedule- oil changes every 4k, timing belt & water pump done, tranny fluid change every year. Problems: expensive & multiple sliding door issues involving clostly motors and actuators going out. Radiator crack at 170K miles, rear coil spring break at 160k.
