Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

I have owned this van for two months. I find the driver seat lumbar to be very uncomfortable even fully deflated. It doesnt compare in comfort to my BMW X5 seat. It is also a real gas hog. We are averaging about 14.5 mpg; I think toyota lies on their mpg ratings on the sales sticker. If the fuel consumption is going to be this low it should be a better performer. The dynamic laser cruise control can be a pain when it hits the brakes because of reflection from trucks in adjacent lanes not attempting to move into your lane. I usually run the cruise in "old fashioned" mode. The little curved mirror used to see the passengers is nearly useless.

I got a very good deal for this puchase. The Toyota folks worked with me to find the car I was looking for and added a few extras in for free. The van is very roomy and rides like a luxury car.

Have had this close to 5 years and have only changed oil, tires, and brakes at 100,000. I will admit that the OE tires gave way at 40,000 but have had good luck since (60k on the replacements). We dont baby ours--kid hauler, client hauler, material hauler (Im in construction so this has seen its share of tools and lumber). Only complaint is getting used to the blind spot in the mirrors, but that could be driver error. 23 mpg with suburban/highway, you have to remember to keep your foot out of it to get good gas mileage. This, with my other Toyotas (Truck, Camry) keeps me a raving fan.

  • Love It - 2010 Toyota Sienna

I looked into a 2010 Honda Odyssey Base model but I was not looking for something that drives like a car, I wanted a minivan and the Sienna is cheaper and handles just fine. I was not looking for bells and whistles but functionality hence the CE version. Great van, rides smooth, has plenty of power,is comfortable and I like it. Only complaint is the Van was suppose to come with Daytime Running Lights but for some reason there was a misbuild at the factory. Toyota is going to make it right and it was brought before the regional person. All in all, a solid buy and solid van.

  • Fun to drive - 2011 Toyota Sienna

My first minivan. I am impressed how fun it is to drive it. Turning radius is unbelievable. Very quiet. It feels just like driving a car.First vehicle I have that the headlights are manual. You either have them ON all time and the Navigation screen is too dark during the day, or have them on DRL so you can see brighter Nav screen during day but have to remember to turn them ON at night. They should make them automatic.

The internet brings out all the strange reviewers: people claiming horrible experiences and people who use this forum to complain about the dealers instead of the actual product. I have had this car new since August 2005. As of this writing it now has 190,000 miles. There are hard Long lsland, NY miles. The radiator finally rotted out. Is this unreasonable? The lift gate shocks failed at around 150,000 miles. I ordered a pair online for well under $100.00 and installed them in 10 mins. Mileage is very good for a huge vehicle. I still get 18 mpg city and 22 or so on the highway. The exhaust system is still all original. Nothing leaks. No problems with the sliding doors so far.

  • Toyota did its homework - 2004 Toyota Sienna

We test drove a loaded Odyssey EX and were not impressed (the 3rd seat was cumbersome, the ride was just OK, road noise, not enough luxury options) and then drove a Sienna LE and were very impressed with the ride quality and the quiet ride We wanted more equipment so we ordered a XLE AWD. Several $K more then the Honda - but well worth it. The child seat installation is MUCH easier than any other vehicle we checked out, and it rides better than any other van out there. The p/s is very light - good for parking lots, so- so for highway driving. This is definitely the best minivan available (it shows in the pricing!)

With three kids under three (1-yr-old twins + 3-yr.-old), I had to make the move from cool SUV to the mom-mobile (mini-van)--but this car made that move so worthwhile! We love this car! And the kids do too! Its so functional with the 3 carseats, and the DVD player is perfect for my oldest!
