Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Good purchase overall - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Being someone young without kids, the thought of a minivan haunted me at night, but after outgrowing my sequoia and the poor mpg I looked at the new sienna. After shopping multiple dealers, ended up saving 4k off sticker price. It drives VERY nice! Drives like a car yet the room of a full size suv with way better mpg. So far around 21-22 mpg combined driving. Nice interior although sunroof is a joke, only opens about 1/3 of the way. Navigation was worth the $$. Still cant believe no auto-lights in a $38k vehicle. With a bad back, I was a little disappointed with seat comfort. The heated seats help though. Besides the minivan stigma, Im happy with my purchase.

Ive spent at least a month between Toyota, Honda and Nissan dealership looking for the best minivan (price, feel, reliability, confort, drive, power, looks....). Weve always been Honda or Toyata owners (accord and camry) so when we decided we needed a minivan we only consider toyota/honda or nissan...too bad that our american brands (GM,Ford etc) are NO match for nissan/honda/toyota....although cheap at first, always a GREAT deal, their quality and reliability reminds me of Yugo cars of the 1980s (also terrible customer service). too bad, they lost us and many others. i love my toyota, drives like a dream, handles great, good milage.

This minivan is fantastic! It gives a great ride and it is amazing in the snow. I took a 2 hr trip in the heart of a blizzard that left us w/17 inches of snow and the Sienna never even slipped. I didnt get many options as most things I wanted came standard w/ the AWD package (4 wheel disk brakes, ABS, folding 3rd row seat, etc) Ive only had it a couple weeks but I couldnt be happier w/ it so far.

I have thoroughly enjoyed driving and owning my Toyota Sienna. When you climb inside, the space is cavernous. I have four children and a dog. We all ride comfortably. We also have the rear entertainment system and six CD changer. This is the first Toyota product I have ever purchased. But based on the performance, ratings, and quality thus far, it will not be the last time we purchase a Toyota product.

This is without a doubt the nicest vehicle weve ever owned. Toyota had to steal this vehicle from Lexus. The vehicle is quiet, quick, AWD, and very roomy. The only negative I have ever heard on the car is the price, but when looking at value, it is a no brainer.

  • Just about perfect - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This van is just about perfect. Weve had four other minivans (one GM and three Dodges) and this one seems to have all the amenities of the others, and then some. If you can get beyond the unique exterior look, the inside of the van is as functional as they come. Storage is abundant-dual glovebox, under front passenger seat, base of center console, door pockets. Whisper quiet ride compared to the competition, and nicely equipped trim packages. Our LE was priced similarly to the Honda Odyessy LX, but was similarly equipped to a more expensive Odyessy EX, minus the power drivers seat.

  • A big disappointment - 1999 Toyota Sienna

I have owned Toyotas for years. I had always been happy with their quality and reliability - until now. I have had nothing but problems with this van and been blamed repeatedly by the dealer for all the problems. Its funny that I take care of all my Toyotas the same way and none of them ever had any problems like this. The engine is destroyed by oil sludge. Its in the shop getting a new engine right now. The interior of the van is falling apart. The vanity mirrors fell off. The door buttons stick in the down position so you cant close the door. I haul my kids around in this van and it needs to be safe and reliable. This van is WAY off base for that.

I read other reviews about the Sienna XLE - not sure if it is that different from mine, but I love my Sienna! We owned a Honda Odyssey - top of the line and while it was a very reliable vehicle, it was a very rough ride. The Sienna is extremely smooth and handles great in any weather including the below 0 temps & snow that we have had in Chicago recently!

  • Known problem with fuel injectors - 1999 Toyota Sienna
    By -

At 68K engine started missing and running rough. Took van to dealership & was told it was "bad NY gas" that clogged up the fuel injectors so we needed new ones. Took van to independent garage and they showed us a Toyota TSB concerning a design problem with the injectors and they had to be replaced. These were "special" injectors fromToyota that retailed for $150 each and we needed 6.
