Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • I love my van!! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This van is so comfortable for everyone in the van. I have 6 kids so all the seats get used. Not all the kids are small anymore so it is nice to have the room that this van offers. I really cant say enough about this van, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. My only regret is that we didnt get the XLE, now that I know that I love this van so much that we will be buying the XLE in three years.

We drove across country with twins one week after we bought this van.. I recommend it to anyone.. In fact, my sister in law bought the same one after seeing mine.. She loves hers too!!

  • MANY DEFECTS and FLAWS - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We have had defective:seatbelts, radiator,shock,12Vplug,& brake pads, and a catastrophe with sliding door. The door motor is flawed and allows you to open the door faster than the motor can retract the cable. The slacked cable derails the door. OUR DOOR FELL OFF almost entirely and the rear window glass shattered. Toyota took weeks to fix it, now the door does not always function properly.Toyota refuses to fix it (opens inconsistenly, retracts inconsistently) since they cant "reproduce the problem" in the shop.

  • Nice but beware - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Generally nice but would not get DVD or NAV again. NAV system is terrible, hard to use with weak interface and weird quirks, and chooses bad routes (e.g.: business 1 not express 1). NAV and many features cant be adjusted while driving, even by passenger. Wireless headsets dont work well in 3rd row, without headsets answering phone turns off DVD. DVD does not just start movie, you have to pull off the road to change movies. Radio has poor interface in many regards, no way to scan from steering wheel for instance. iPod interface can play audio but not video, so forget downloaded movies. In short, love the car but the electronics get 2 out of 10

Fourth minivan we have owned and this is our favorite. We do not feel that we have given up "creature comforts" for the space in the van. Pleasant ride and enough power to handle situations in city driving. DVD, seat warmers, auto temp. control, many cupholders, seat configuration, storage room, back seat windows that open, and stereo system all add to the pleasure.

  • Review from Long-term Toyota owner: 2014 Sienna utterly disappoints - 2014 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Perhaps the worst Toyota among 7 that I owned in the past 14 years. Had a pleasure to own two 4Runners, 2 GX470 and 1 GX460, 1 Highlander. This Sienna is wrong in almost every department but biggest is by far rattle and squeaks from cheapest plastic panels that 2014 Sienna has. Impossible to to mitigate those issues. 3rd row seats rattle loudly even after anti-rattle kit was installed. Inside the van it is obnoxiously loud, all road noise comes in at highway speeds that you need to crank radio just to hear it. Certainly, not good for long trips, we bought it to take on the cross-country trips but what a mistake it was.

  • Love It!! - 2007 Toyota Sienna

I love this van! I do a lot of driving - almost 700 miles a week simply routine, not including other out of town trips. This mini van is one the the best and reliable vehicles I have had (the other being a Toyota as well, a Tercel back in the 90s). Its comfortable, rides smooth and looks great too. The only annoyance has been the tire sensor light when the weather gets cold outside & the sliding doors dont latch open when windows are down. But small potatoes compared to other vehicles I have had. I have had this van for 16 months and have 40,000 miles already. No problems from this vehicle, nothing negative in my eyes about it. I love it and would definitely buy another without pause!

  • Lifesaver car - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I had the car for 10 years. 270k miles. We were just in a rollover accident on hwy, doing 70 mph. The whole family was in the car, we all walked away unharmed. GREAT car, comfortable, and it saved our lives. It was like losing a member of the family.

Easy to drive and handling is good.

  • Great van for a growing family. - 2008 Toyota Sienna

We are expecting our third child soon and needed a larger vehicle. We chose the Sienna primarily because it is the only van to offer eight useful seats -- the 8th seat offered by the Odyssey is too small to be useful. We also like how the center seat can be moved forward for easy access to our expected baby. Add Toyotas powerful V6 (with a timing chain versus a belt) and better real life gas millage and the Sienna was for us. We have been enjoying our van, including a trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. It was great being able to bring along the kids bikes by just putting them in the back of the van (no need for a bike rack). The van was a gift for my wife and so far she loves it!
