Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Love my Sienna, 75K miles later! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

As a sworn minivan hater, I finally saw the light in 2004. I spend much of my time toting my two young kids around, and this van is perfect for the job. There is a mirror to view the backseat built into the car! The back windows can go down! The sliding doors can be controlled by me! The rear liftgate is also automatic and can be controlled by the driver! As a mom, these are amazing benefits that I didnt even know I was missing with my old SUV. Other than going through a few sets of tires, I have had NO problems with it. The ultimate Mom-mobile, I highly recommend it to those who spend a lot of time schlepping the kids.

Many, many problems with the interior of the car. Middle passenger side seat is a "lemon seat" seat belt is major issue, 5th time trying to resolve. A/C system airflow distribution disproportionate in the bi-level and floor level settings. Rear air conditioner and heat appear to not be cooling and barely heating. Radio defective, speaker blown 2x, tire pressure sensor broken, side mirror control fell into dash, base of lemon seat cracked, handle of same seat broke, over head light broke over this seat, rear bumper came loose, tires are bald at 25K miles, air bag indicator light malfuntioning. I cannot believe the problems were having.

  • We though we would never own a minivan - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

"Daddy, Mommy, I like this car." my 3 1/2 years old daughter whispered as she slides into that soft and comfortable leather seat while NEMO is featured on the rear entertainment system. We though we would never own a minivan when owning a SUV is the trend. That though was immediately behind us when we test drove that Sienna XLE Limited AWD. For kids, there is rear entertainment system where they can watch their favorite NEMO. For Moms, this car got all the safety and convinent features that you cant count with both hands. For guys, it has AWD, Navigation System, DVD, JBL 10 speakers HiFi, Laser Guided Cruise Control and Rear Camera. Still thinking SUV? Think Again.

  • Disappointing number of rattles - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The interior looks great but LOTS of rattles from the sunroof area. The drivers seat arm rest almost fell off and the hard plastic interiors of of the big and little storage bins means everything rattles like crazy when you hit a bump. Sun glass holder is too small to hold sunglasses. The conversation mirror is too small to use and too close to the drivers eyes. No map pocket on the back of the front passenger seat (the driver cannot reach behind his seat to grab a map) The exterior styling is nice in profile but pretty "dweeby" looking from the front and the back. Why cant Toyota design a truly beautiful looking automobile.

  • AWD Tires Frequently Replaced at High Cost - 2015 Toyota Sienna
    By -

This Van is very good except for the tire problem. The AWD version comes with no spare and run flat tires. The run flat tires last between 14,000 and 18,000 miles and come without a manufacturers warrantee. I drive between 25,000 and 30,000 miles per year. I am now at 35,000 (16 months) and am on my third set of tires. the originals were replaced at 15,500. The second set lasted until 34,700 miles. I just put on the 3rd set. The way we drive, if we keep this van for 5 years, I would spend over $11,000.00 on tires. DO NOT BUY THE AWD SIENNA. You can put on regular tires, but you would run without a spare. If you add a spare, you have to buy a mount for the cargo area, but hen you cant fold down the third row seats for more cargo...

  • Very Happy with purchase - 2015 Toyota Sienna

  • Saved My Life - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

This van saved my life. I was recently involved in an accident that totaled the car. Designed safety features kept the driver/front passenger area from caving in on me. My worst injury was a broken wrist requiring surgery. My infant son did not have a scratch. The fireman said I was lucky to be alive. The whole front end of the car was sitting on the ground. All windows shattered but never fell inside the vehicle, per design. I highly recommend this vehicle for safety alone! That said, the car is luxurious and less "minivan Like." We have replaced it with a 2006.

  • Outstanding! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I purchased a 2004 Sienna LXE Limited AWD with GPS in Winter Haven, Florida and have just completed a 5,000 mile drive across the United States and Canada. The vehicle performed flawlessly. The 2002 Sienna LXE is not only the most utilitarian vehicle I have ever owned, it is also the most luxurious. That is an incredible combination. I havent been so excited about the purchase of a new car in the past fifty years, even though Ive owned a number of Cadillacs and Mercedes.

  • Check Engine Light problems - 2003 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Overall Im happy with our Siennna. It only has 19,000 miles after 6 years, so it doesnt get a lot of use. Theres an issue with the check engine light. It goes on and we take it to the dealership and they find nothing wrong. I wouldnt care too much, but the engine detects something wrong with the emission control and because of this, the car fails the state emissions test. We take it to the dealership, they run a smoke test and everything is OK. We go back for the emissions test, we fail, but since we had the car smoke tested, we get a pass for the next couple of years. We also had to replace the front tires. For some unknown reason, they wouldnt hold air.
