Overview & Reviews
Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.
In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

My second not my last - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Pam - October 10 - 2:10 pmAs older drivers, comfort is of utmost importance. After driving for 8 hours we arrive without the normal stiffness. It is wonderful to handle and with the wonderful turning radius it will practically turn on a dime. Took a little practice parking as it handled a bit differently than the 1998. The auto doors work beautifully and makes it so easy to let guests into the van without getting in and out. The AC is great. I am a Toyota fan. I love the reliability and dependability that is standard with all Toyota products. Oh sure maybe it doesnt have all the trap doors but you wont see it by the side of the road dead.

My Second Sienna, There Will Be More! - 2010 Toyota Sienna
By Chris - October 9 - 7:13 pmThis is my second Sienna, so yes,my experiences with this vehicle have been extremely positive (I still have the first one, an 05). If Lexus made a mini-van, this would be it. I love the power doors, power tailgate, AWD, Bluetooth, GPS, Rear DVD, heatedseats. Honestly, you cant get a better mini-van, period. Its true that the gas mileage is not the best (12L average per 100km on the highway and about 13.5L per 100km in town) but mine both have AWD plus all the gadgets that need to be powered. I suspect you would be hard pressed to do that much better....I would have bought a Hydrid if it was available... I have mine with running boards and hood deflector and XM satellite radio.

Hate it! - 2009 Toyota Sienna
By Kimberli - October 5 - 8:10 pmWe traded in our 2002 "Jalopy" Grand Caravan for this van. It is my first brand new car EVEr! I am so disappointed in the reliability. Ive had a front end noise that dlrshp cant duplicate, my brake/accelerator footpad shivers at certain speeds and in certain road conditions. Again dlrshp cannot duplicate. Most importantly, long road trips 4+ hours are horrible. The "lumbar support" is unsupportive and lower back hurts after just 2 hours!

My Dream Car - 2006 Toyota Sienna
By Angela - October 2 - 8:06 pmWe love our car. The space is amazing. The features are so much fun. I feel as if I am driving on air. My 6 year old is in heaven. I feel like the four of us each have our own space. The is so much storage. With kids it allows for a place for everything. We really love the headrest DVDs. We cannot wait to go on a road trip. This is our second Toyota. We had a Highlander previously, and loved it. The Sienna is even better. Way to go Toyota! This is luxury in a family car.

We love our first sienna! - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By Havasufoodies - October 2 - 7:13 pmI got this base model Sienna for my wife on her birthday. Weve owned it for two weeks. I emailed and called different dealerships and even tried the Costco Auto Program. We got this base model Sienna for around $500 UNDER INVOICE! Dont be scared & embarrassed to negotiate, THANKS TO EDMUNDS.COM. I like the reliability of Toyota, i dont care about all the bad publicity. We own a 2005 Corolla as well and we only had to change the battery, tires and brakes. Thats it. This Sienna is daddy friendly. It is so quiet that you will not even realize the engine is running. I dont know why everyone else bought the 6 cyl when the 4 cyl CAN DO THE JOB! i have 4 kids and they love it!

First Year models - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By stevede - October 2 - 2:00 amHad trouble with the gas tank recall. First replacement tank leaked and left my wife stranded, two weeks now and no new part insight. According to other Edmund discussion groups, this has happened before to recall customers in other parts of the country. Is it a replacement part or shoddy workmanship at the dealer, I am not sure. A second first year problem are the run flat tires. After 3,000 miles, the tire gets a nail in it. Toyota informs me that the tire must be replaced and not repaired, list price $200. I had to wait five days for a new tire. According to Dunlop, these tires can be replaced, so much for misinformation.

Sienna rocks!!....and is a rock - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By chipster 62 - October 2 - 2:00 amI rate this vehicle very highly except in the area of acceleration. When you have to aggressively accelerate in traffic, there is a pronounced hesitation in applying power. The Toyota dealer has been unable to simulate but this hesitation, which appears to be computer-related affecting mixture or timing, makes the vehicle dangerous to drive because power is not there when you need it. Based on the dealers response, we will have to live with it.
