Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • My First Mini-Van - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Excellent and comfortable ride. Gets great mileage on the highway, but I find it guzzles in the city. My kids love the roll down sliding door windows. This is my first mini-van after driving subcompacts for 25 years so it is taking some getting used to. I still find it hard to park but it has a very tight turning circle. The split 3rd row seats are very handy for hauling stuff and kids. I dont know why no other minivan has this feature? This is the most comfortable vehicle I have owned. Is very smooth and quiet even at high highway speeds (75MPH)

Lots of room and places to store stuff. The Seina holds more than the Tacomas 6ft bed. I dont miss my Toyota Tacoma one bit. Very smooth and controled ride. Great fuel economy. Im averaging 22+ mpg and the motor is still breaking in (1500 miles). Its only going to get better.

My wife and I never thought that we would be in a mini-van, but here we are. We test drove several models. The new Sienna handles like a car with a ton of room on the inside. We are very happy with our purchase.

  • Best of the 2 - 2004 Toyota Sienna

The depreciation on the American vans is so steep that it is a far better value to buy any one of them used. With reliability also a concern, I went to the Honda dealer, and then the Toyota dealer, and took both for test rides. The next weekend I reversed the order, but again took them both out. Both times it was clear--the Seinna rides much quieter and nicer than the Honda. This confirms what Consumers Report concluded. Having owned it for a few months, and having put 4k on it, we couldnt be more pleased. One pleasant surprise--I bought an 8 seater simply because it happened to be in the color I like. And now we are glad that we did!

  • Very Good Minivan - 2008 Toyota Sienna

This is our first purchase of a minivan and we love it so far. We like the pickup, quiet acceleration and very smooth ride. These are the main reasons we chose this van over the Odyssey. Sienna is built very well, powerful engine, nice exterior styling, very good interiors, power tailgate.

  • The Best Spontaneous Decision - 2003 Toyota Sienna

After Driving a minivan for 5 years, my husband decided to go with an SUV but the price range was so high even with 0% financing. We decided to go with another minivan but Toyota delearship was just across the street from where we were, so we decided to check them out. Wow! I loved the way it drive, smooth and quiet. Even if we had to pay an extra $5000 on the finance charge, we went ahead and bought the minivan because we know that it will be a better investment than what we had before.

  • Great ride - 2005 Toyota Sienna

The Van exceeds all of our expectations. Smooth ride, reacts fast, comfortable, with enough head room for my tall frame. Most vans I have to stoop to fit. All kinds of extra inside that you wouldn’t think of but are there. I would recommend this vehicle to any family looking for performance and comfort for the kids. We have been all over with ours. We like to camp and fish so we have literally lived out of the back of it and loved it.

  • Serious design problems disappoint - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

There are two serious design flaws that have proven very disappointing in what is otherwise a nice vehicle. 1. The A/C condenser is mounted right behind the front grill. It is exposed to rocks and other road hazzars. When a small rock passed through the grill openings and created a hole in the condenser, my repair cost was $790 not covered by warranty because the dealer considered it road hazzard damage not covered. 2. The accelerator extremely annoying on this van. It is sluggish through the first 1/2 of the travel range of the pedal. Then for a small portion of the pedal range, it is very jerky and extreme with weird transmission behaivor. The dealer declares it "normal".
