Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Engine White Smoke - 2002 Toyota Sienna

After just a few months and 6000 miles im seeing white smoke on startup. Looks like the engine is on its way to sludge failure. Stay away from all Toyotas and Lexus with this V6 engine.

  • Seat Problem - 2001 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The front passenger seat is very uncomfortable for someone with short legs. My wife is actually in pain if she sits there for only 45 min. to an hour. Weve tried extra padding, putting things under her feet, etc. If the height of the seat, the tilt of the seat (front of seat tilted down slightly) it sure would be nice. The drivers seat is pretty good for her but that would be better if the tilt of the seat could be changed. d even appreciate that just to help change the position at times.

  • What a minivan was meant to be! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After seven years with a Pontiac Transport, a capable performer, we switched to the Sienna, our first "foreign" car. Not a bad deal when you can get the top-ranked vehicle in its class for less than the GM nameplates and only $700 over invoice. It rides like a car, has a solid feel throughout, and has features that appeal to every member of our family. Forget the DVD system; add your own portable player for about $200!

Ive had my van for 3 weeks now and couldnt be more happy. We also have a 50K BMW and the van is much more comfortable. Its a bit pricy but I drove every other mini van on the market and the Toyota is better by far. If luxery and comfort is what you are looking for, look no furhter.

  • Could not be happier - 2004 Toyota Sienna

We just purchased the Toyota after owning a Town and Country for a few years. I am kicking myself for not having looked into a Sienna before. It handles better, rides better, and seems to be a better built van than the Chrysler. If you are looking at purhasing a van, do yourself a favor and test drive the Toyota, I am glad we did.

  • Favorite Car! ... and Ive owned many! - 2015 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Prior to purchase, I owned a 2013 Lincoln MKZ 3.0L V6 and 2012 Ford Explorer XLT. We had two children, then added a third. I had not viewed the Sport Edition (SE) YouTube rap commercial created by Toyota, but this is not necessary prior to purchase. On the Toyota/Carmax Lot, we were immediately attracted to the Sport Edition (SE) with black leather interior. We did not want a DVD system so our kids could constantly demand we play a movie for them. 6 months after purchase, we absolutely love it. I traded in my Lincoln with no regrets. Im a total minivan convert and fight my wife over driving it verses driving my Explorer. I wish Minivans looked cooler, but this is the coolest they come. Only criticism is that the SE model on our lot was the only one available, and the exterior was in red. I would have preferred another color. :)

  • Great Product - 2017 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Toyota makes a great product and they did not fall short on the 2017 Sienna. Im renting the LE fwd model and Im surprised how easy this vehicle is to drive, park and how comfortable it feels on long and short distance drives. The shifts throw its 8spd automatic transmission are smooth and quick under ECO mode. If you turn ECO mode off, the shift a ferm, but not harsh. The engine delivers good power(296hp on all trim levels...highest in its class with great fuel economy) but can be a bit loud under heavy load (fully acceleration with ECO mode on or off). The exterior of the Sienna is pleasing to the eye for most people. In higher trim levels, you can get fog lamps, lower body treatment and Altezza rear tail lights. The interior is an accommodating please to be. Comfortable seat front, middle and 3rd row. Driver gets a power adjustable seat with lumbar, while the others get manual siders. This model has the stoll-a-way second row middle seat which gives this Sienna the capability to seat 8 passangers. Great if you are an Uber driver. Super easy to see out of. This makes this van a little more affordable because, you dont really need the blind spot monitoring system, which I believe, its offered on higher trim levels. In the LE trim and higher, you can get the Sienna equipped with AWD. Im only giving this vehicle for stars simply because Ive noticed a few things that could be better or improve. Ive noticed when Im by myself in the vehicle, the 2nd row and third roll seats vibrate. I did not get any complaints from my other customers however that is concerning. I believe if they stiffen the chassis just a little more that was all the problem. I do wish that the fuel door release mechanism was located in a different area . It is very easy to mistaken it for the hood release and for those who are not familiar with the location of the fuel door release , it could make it difficult in the dark to find the fuel door release . Also, unless you get a really good nights sleep and/or you have passengers with you the interior can tend to be a little bit boring. This can cause some drivers to feel tired and/or sleepy while driving. I strongly encourage Toyota does a little more treatment to their interior. Had a similar issue with a 2015 Camry.
