Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • My Best Vehicle Purchase Ever - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Needed a vehicle that could comfortably carry several adult guests, would also provide good storage for items I need to use in work travel (sometimes including 8 ft. folding tables), and AWD since I live on a steep hill in the country with a good amount of snow and ice. This vehicle is filling the bill in every respect. AWD is not continuous, only when need is sensed, but it does the job. Very comfortable for long trips. Previous cars were Ford LTD/Mercury Grand Marquis/Lincoln Town Car. (Im no kid.) Ride and comfort are comparable to those, with better handling. Several people who have ridden in it have made favorable comparisons to Lexus, other luxury cars.

  • Sienna beats Odyssey - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Traded my 07 Odyssey EXL with RES for this beauty. Honda had horrible road noise bumpy ride torque converter in transmission replaced along with power steering pump all in less than 40,000 miles. Not to mention very squeaky side doors. Thought I was driving a Chrysler product. Toyota is so smooth soft ride and more comfortable 8th seat.

  • CE for ME - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The CE model is the hidden jewel of the pack. Why pay for power doors if you dont need them. Option package #3 gives you nearly evry new feature available, including airbag curtain, traction control, roof rack, daytime running lights, and stability control, and the van comes in under $26,000. You get the exact same engine and transmission as the top of the line Sienna, which costs over $40,000. The seats are comfortable, but advise fabric protection if you have messy passengers (kids).

  • Love it - 2002 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I love this car. The ride is smooth, the seats are comfortable and roomy. Although it is considered a smaller mini-van, I find it has enough space for me. If you have children there shouldnt be any space issues. The back seats are best for children. Adults may find the leg room a little tight if the seats are moved in.

  • Hugely disappointed - van was a lemon or possessed - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We bought our 2004 Sienna new. In the first 6 months, we had to replace the battery, the armrest fell off and the spare tire holder broke after one use. In the next three years, the panels on the front doors slid down and trapped me inside - I had crawl to the back seat to get out. My husband duct taped the panels on and no more problem - ugly but it worked. Then the sliding door panels lock didnt work. You had to take a chopstick to hold the lock lever up until just before you closed it and then pull out the chopstick and slam the door. Other things broke with light use. Door weatherstripping falls down. Engine ran but looked like a beater van. Would not recommend this van.

Dependable vehicle. Next best thing to Honda Odyssey on the market. Went with the Sienna because it was thousands less than the Honda.

  • Love my new Minivan - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I had no choice but to get a minivan. Being that I am 25 and have one child and more soon to come, I felt stuck. 25 year olds dont drive minivans I thought. Now that I have one all my friends are jealous because of its comfort and room for anything and everything. My mom drives a SUV and she is jealous of all the room I have. With one little pull of a seat everything folds down just like that! I love It!!!

  • Wow, what a buy - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Had to post. 05 CE is my second Sienna. Bought 98 XLE new for my wife. Sold 155,000 with 0 issues. Now @ 165,000 on 05 and again 0 problems. Great job Toyota and I will be purchasing an 09 in the fall close out sales. My van is my office with as many miles that I drive. Signed, Toyota driver for life! Thank you.

  • Good if you hate your children - 2012 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I purchased this vehicle used after owning a 1995 Previa, and a 2001 Sienna, both of which i got well over 300k miles on and never had any real issues with either of them. I purchased this after owning the two other vans thinking i would get the same great usage, and bullet-proof reliability. Unfortunately there is a design flaw with the 2005-2016 Toyota Siennas where the L Bracket that holds the door to the van bends over time with usage, and causes the rear ECU to malfunction, which in turn causes the rear power sliding doors to randomly open. This fantastic feature of the new vans happens at random moments, and random speeds. I contacted Toyota, because my van was out of warranty, at 36,300 miles, "missed it by 300 miles", who continued to indicate that this was a known issue, and that they would cover half of the cost to repair the issue, and i would only have to come out of pocket 5771.00, which is the cost for half.. mind you they also indicated that this is a known issue.. Not happy with that outcome i contacted the NHTSB with the issue, and was told there have been 36K reports of the same issue occurring on Sienna Vans dating back to 2005, and that the last generation had a quiet recall, where Toyota extended the warranty on the doors, and repaired the issues free of charge, but this was never released as public knowledge.. The NHTSB indicated that they cant force a recall until someone dies.. I would suggest you avoid these vans like the plague if you love your family.. Otherwise i would hate to read about this issue in the paper because someone in your family dies..

  • Love this van sooo much! - 2006 Toyota Sienna
    By -

My family and I are very comfortable in the van. I never thought in a million years I would be driving a van! I love the look and have a lot of pride that we made a great purchase on a van that we know we can rely on. We owned a V8 SUV until now & we already have seen a difference in the gas to fill up & longer lasting.
