Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

This van is the best ever! Great power and room. The family loves the ride and I love the engine and handling (yes its a van)! My dealer was excellent and I shopped around to several stores, but this was the best experience and would highly recommend the van and the dealer...but shop the other dealers first and great the best experience in Lincoln!

  • great family vehicle - 1999 Toyota Sienna

I purchased this van from a family member who bought it new. Only the tires have needed replacing, but the brakes will need replacing soon. It now has 82K miles on it, and the engine still drives smoothly and gas mileage is better than an SUV. This vehicle is very family friendly, and we feel safe driving it. It handles very well in bad weather, which is a big plus for me. It has some rattles in various places, but we have put it through a lot. It rides like a car, and it has been a good travel vehicle. It doesnt have many extras, but it has been very functional for our needs. I wasnt crazy about the idea of getting a mini- van, but we have been very pleased with it overall.

  • Disappointing with build quality - 2003 Toyota Sienna

For a Toyota brand name, I am so disappointing with build quality such as speakers falling off, rattle noise from windows, problem with rear defroster. Driving experience is good.

Absolutely no complaints. This van has been ultra reliable and durable. Planning on buying another Sienna van within the next 12 months.

  • One Headache After Another-Unreliable - 2004 Toyota Sienna

If there is an example that Toyota doesnt have its thumb on quality control, it is me. I jumped the car 14 times the first year I owned it even though the battery checked out O.K. They said it didnt need to be replaced. Just after the warranty expired, it needed to be replaced. Power door broke-$1500 to fix. Electric locks go crazy and cant open doors. Have to crawl out. Has never shifted smoothly although transmission checks out O.K. Frequently lurches and downshifts unexpectedly. Radiator replaced in 2nd year. None in stock had to wait a week. The rocker panels rusted in the first year. I had to change the tires in the first month - not good on snow and ice. Generally, a bad car.

  • So far, an excellent vehicle - 2008 Toyota Sienna

We just completed a 2000 mile trip from VA to FL and the van now has almost 7000 miles. The ride and comfort were excellent. The vehicle tends to exhibit a delayed response from the trans at some points. Not sure what that is all about. Still not sure what mileage we got on the road but the city mileage is as advertised. Lots of room in the van and it is much quieter than our 2001 Grand Caravan. Acceleration is also excellent. The laser cruise is accurate but you need to plan your lane changes to accommodate how it operates. Not at all happy that the navigation is not operable when vehicle moves even by passenger. Almost a waste!!! Other than that, we are very pleased with our first Toyota.

  • Passenger Door & Sliding Door Problems - 2002 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Passenger side door not responsive to remote or automatic features. The right sliding door just completely jammed yesterday. Earlier this year, the right side sliding door just closed on its own and trapped a passengers finger. Earlier this month, had at least a couple of friends ask us what mini-van they purchase and we recommended the Sienna. Now I really regret making that recommendation after having these door problems and finding out this has been a common problem with this model.

Weve had it for about a month. We love it.

  • Love my 05 Sienna XLE - 2005 Toyota Sienna

No problems at all. Totally rattle and squeak free. A little more wind and road noise than Id like, but my last car was a Lexus LS400. Ride is a little firmer than Id like too. Gas mileage is only 13, but its all very short in- city trips. No highway. It is a very fine minivan.

  • Great Revamp of an Excellent Mvan - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

This is our 3rd Sienna. Got the Ltd. w/ front wheel drive. Toyota has made some real improvements. Driving experience is improved in all aspects, quieter, quicker and better brake feel. The Ltd. interior is first rate (dont quite get the weird vinyl texture they adopted on the interior panels). Weve had the Odyssey, and Town and Country. Toyotas is the most relaxed to drive and can carry a ton of stuff. New styling is a little less bland on the outside. New seats and electronics are amazing.
