Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Good Van / Avoid Crooked Dealerships - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I bought my 2005 Sienna used from a private party in 2007 with 40,000 miles and I have over 130,000 miles on it today. I put new Michelin tires from Sams Club on at 90,000 miles (rotate every 10K) and they still have over half of their tread life. I changed spark plugs and plug wires as well as the timing belt at 110,000 miles. Thats it! I received a recall notice for the spare tire holder so had to bring to dealership. When I got my van back I was told I needed a new radiator ($800) and cabin air filter ($80). I brought the van back to my mechanic and he said the radiator was fine and took 2 minutes to change the cabin filter ($15). That was 15,000 miles ago!

We purchased the Sienna XLE a few weeks ago. We spent good money on a high end vehicle expecting great quality, unfortunately weve been very disappointed. All the back seats are squeaking and rattling. It started with the 3rd row seat, then the pilot chair seats. We brought it into the dealership to have it looked and they said Toyota was aware of the issues on some of the Siennas and that there was no fix. They said they are working a redesign! Why did they let this go out the door. Furthermore, when we asked the dealership to help us out and resolve the issue, they said its not their problem (there exact words). I will never buy a Toyota again!!

  • Heavy on gas - 2007 Toyota Sienna

The van drives nicely, handles great. It is a tank in the snow and ice, which is mainly why we went for it as there are no AWD models from other manufacturers. That display showing 15mpg though is a real downer.

This is our second sienna, and we will probably buy a third one. We are in love with the van. It is so much easier to get in and out of than a car, and the ride is as smooth. It handles very well. They are more expensive and the packages are not as good as some of the other vans. You pay dearly for all of the gingerbread features.

Bought this car in March 2003 when they just came out. Loved the new features and respected the Toyota quality.

  • Unbelievable! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We are approaching the one year mark with our new Sienna and this vehicle is unbelievable! It tows our 3500 lb boat as well as our Durango did, but gets almost twice the gas mileage and has much more room. A high quality vehicle with a lower MSRP, operating and insurance costs!

  • GREAT SIENNA - 2004 Toyota Sienna

GREAT CAR. I JUST TOOK IT ON AN UNPLANNED 4000 MILE ROAD TRIP AND IT PERFORMED WONDERFULLY THROUGH HEAT, BUGS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

  • Excellent Mini Van - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Great ride, great perfomance, good gas millage. This is my second mini van and I am very pleased with it. Toyota has taken a lot of features from all the other mini vans on the road today and made a great car. Plenty of room for seven people, lots of power and perfomance and the gas millage is not bad.

... are over say good buy to SUV. XLE 8 PASSENGER 4 MINI (3.5 6 CYL 6 A) does not include signal lights on there mirrors, say your prayers and hope the gas prices stay low one will pay out of the the pockets, but its worth having plenty of room and such a smooth ride , sienna fits in my garage buy 2 inches ,i had to make room making some adjustments but its all good ,my goal is travel IN USA in my ( RV) sienna lol, glad i made this a purchase i plan to keep mini van for a long time , sienna has reputation on reliability (great).Driving from Florida to NYC with family and friends I overheard them saying it feels like flying in a air plane because of the AC blowing in the rear and the captain seats with comfort and quietness inside made me proud I chose the right vehicle again no regrets even with the Honda mini van odyssey reputation my heart with Sienna 😜 I am content.

  • Disappointed with Toyota. - 2008 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Owned 4 Toyotas and am underwhelmed with this vehicle. Previous van was a Kia and would not trade a Kia for Toyota ever again. This van has terrible fit and finish. Drivers door, rear gate and trim all are poor. This van is cheap and uncomfortable. The engine has sounded like an old truck in cold weather since the day we bought it and have been told that is normal. If that is normal then they are all garbage. We bought this van based on reputation but we were wrong. I guess Toyota should take a lesson from themselves. Go back to making good cars.
