Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Watch out for the doors! - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Love this van for the comfort, and space! We have had it in for repair/maintenance on the automatic slider doors several times, the front driver side door broke at the hinge and needed to be totally replaced. This was in the first year that we owned it. We have wanted to give it back, but despite all of the trouble with the doors we love the comfort and space.

  • 5th family member = New Sienna - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We had to move from a Rav4 to a minivan when we found our third child was en route since the Rav4 could not comfortably accommodate 3 car seats at once. Explored the Odyssey and Sienna and decided on the Sienna due to some of the technological upgrades the 2011 model received. The removable jump seat in the middle row is great for our oldest to make her way into the back row since the other captains chairs are occupied with car seats and cannot fold and slide. Overall, the ride is smooth, quiet, and very comfortable. Fuel economy is decent (I like the "eco mode" notification for positive driving habit reinforcement). A great family car that will be with ours for a long time, hopefully!

  • 05 Toyota Sienna - 2005 Toyota Sienna

After my horror reliability experience with a 04 Nissan Quest minivan, I replaced it with a 05 Toyota Sienna. Its not trouble free but at least the fixes get fixed the first time UNLIKE Nissan. MINOR ISSUES: - crack in drivers side mirror - broken flip-out drawer below stereo - side-moulding came off due to a bad 2-sided tape MAJOR ISSUES: - Drivers door recalled due to bad weld - 4 yrs/65k miles, rack and pinion steering broke(my cost $1400) - 4 yrs/65k miles, the sliding doors hinge sagged (dealer wanted $1100 for just parts but I bought the $100 part and independent bodyshop replaced it for less) - interior light drains battery when doors left open so we keep lights off

  • Skimping on a great minivan - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Great all around minivan. Meets most of our need for three babies under the age of 2. Im a bit disappointed with the manually operated adjustable passenger seat and manually adjustable tilt and telescoping steering wheel. A vehicle that cost this much should have these features automatically adjustable. Also the wind noise is quite loud and even forces us to turn up the radio volume. The dealer was great!!!

I drove Odyssey: Very old design, needs redesign badly MPV: Good design and handling, falls short of space & power Caravan: Major reliability issues Quest: Center POD is ugly

  • Best Van Yet - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We have owned a Toyota van which we traded for a used Previa at 210,000 miles (my son still drives it) and finally this Sienna. This is our favorite van and we have taken several cross country trips as well as winters in Wisconsin. I have never felt safer in any car Ive owned. We have not had any mechanical failures and enjoy great service support staff. This is our 8th Toyota vehicle and I cant see us buying any other make (except my Porsche of course).

  • Sienna LE AWD - 2005 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The Toyota is head and shoulders better than previous Venture and Caravan minivans. It rides better and is much quieter. The AWD works great and combined with the ABS and stability control it is nearly impossible to lose control or even spin a tire. There is plenty of room for 7 passengers and the rear seats fold easily into the floor giving a flat cargo area. While the Sienna comes in only one size, it is equal to the Grand or extended models from the competion. The only negatives are the run flat tires that wear very fast & are very expensive and poor gas mileage (17 MPG average).

  • Best car I ever drove - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Purchased it 2 months ago, lucky to find a dealer with AWD. After 2 major snowstorms I can say this car handles great in the bad weather. The traction control system and ABS make this car idiot proof. This may be one of the best vehicles ever in the snow and ice. Between the fuel economy, the enormous amount of space, the quit ride, and comfort this is perhaps one of the best cars ever made. If you can’t bring yourself to buying a minivan, and the midsize SUV’s with the 3rd row don’t offer enough space or reliability, than buy this. It’s like a SUV only better.

  • Excellent, with some improvements - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Just bought this vehicle last week, finally finding a dealer willing to negotiate by looking for smaller towns near us since the Toyota Dealers in Raleigh were brash and cocky when it came to pricing and trade-ins. They could definately take some needed lessons. The car is amazing.

  • Better than the Odyssey - 2002 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I drove both the Odyssey and the Siena. Though the Odyssey is much bigger, I found the style and performance of the Siena to be much better. Plus I did not have to pay sticker or wait for two months to get a Sienna! In all I paid $500 less than the cheapest Odyssey (LX) and got a whole bunch of features that I would not have had in the LX trim.
