Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Best people mover in town - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Tested all Minivans and the Large SUVs out in the market. All had their pros and cons. What sold us on the toyota was the comfort factor and the 2nd row windows roll DOWN. Also has a smooth and quite ride. The engine has adequate power and quite. Like the way the 3rd row seats fold away flat. 2nd row seats are cumbersome to move. Toyota increase supply to meet demand!!!

  • Trade-in had some Trade-offs - 2004 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We traded in our 2001 Toyota Sienna for a 2004 model. It is very clear that Toyotas goal was to make it more functional, but keep the costs down. We paid less for our 2004, and the design improvements made it a great value. However, the level of workmanship seems to have suffered a bit. We gained a few bells and whistles, but gave up a few others. If I had it to do over again, I would have waited until the package we wanted became available (DVD, power outlets, chrome wheels, etc.). Overall, I am happy with the purchase decision.

  • 2008 Toyota Sienna LE Tire Wear Issue - 2008 Toyota Sienna

At 19,100 miles, and with regular tire rotation, all four Dunlop tire wear are 4/32. There is something wrong with the tires! I avoided buying a AWD just to avoid premature wearing of tires (Consumers Report). It makes no difference!

  • One of the Best Ive Had - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Put 24K miles on in the 15 months with no problmes. Several 2000+ mile trips to hunt pens.Tires wore quickly but Toyota dealer gave me 2 Michelin and I bought 2 in a compromise. Much better mileage (24+ at 65-75 mph) than previous 02 Highlander LTD and many more passenger and cargo options. Wish they put the power passnger seat. Laser cruise is a pain but sonar is great for close parking garages. Havent used sunroof but love window shades and did put extra tinting in up to the legal max after purchase. A great distance vehicle. 02 RX300 just gets used for local trips now. Rarely fold seats as keeping them up leaves plenty of cargo space in the hole and can haul 7 people to dinner. Great

  • Love It - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Im a a person that vowed never to own a minivan but 3 kids later I went for it. The Sienna is the best car Ive had. The interior space is great and really have had no problems, just regular maintenance and tires. Brakes were need at 50k but that is to be expected. We have a large tent trailer we tow and it pulls like a dream (we got the tow package). The only thing I would improve is the underside clearance. When towing (and even when not), you need to be aware of the clearance. It rides very low and you can bottom out if your not careful. Ive heard all minivans are like this though.

I have had the Sienna almost 7 years and it has 100K on it and I still dont want to give it up. It has never had mechanical/engine problems. At 70 mph the engine purrs.

  • Really Great - 1999 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Just had 10 year anniversary. Soccer mom. Purchased new. Has been a dream vehicle. Now have 135,000 miles. Drives like luxury vehicle. Has been extremely reliable. Have just needed reg. maintenance, i.e oil changes regularly, 18 month brake jobs, (heavy city travel). On 3rd set of Michelin tires, on 3rd battery. Had to replace motor for power window and an alternator. Am now having timing belt, water pump, and ac and ps belts changed for first time which is normal maintenance. Now in its 10th plus year, starting to have a few issues. Valve gaskets are now leaking oil and need replacement. Repair described is approx. $1000 for belts, wp, and new gaskets with labor. Heavily recommend vehicle.
