Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • Very disappointed - 2012 Toyota Sienna

I am so disappointed with the Nav system in my 2012 Sienna, and even more disappointed that Toyota refuses to do anything about it. The Nav system makes poor decisions, often adding quite a bit of time to my trip. And I cant hear the instructions when the radio is on as it does not turn down the radio volume. My last car does this and that was purchased 7 years ago! Entunes is mostly worthless as its dangerous for the driver to use it when the car is moving, so youre better off having the passenger use apps on a smartphone instead. The Toyota Nav system doesnt even change the time of day when moving into a different time zone. Id be better off with a $150 Nav unit from Radio Shack.

  • Great Family Car - 2004 Toyota Sienna

We replaced our 1999 Grand Caravan with the 2004 Sienna this month. It drives great and the "utility" level, with the disappearing rear bench, deep wells behind that rear bench, and 8th seat, is Fantastic!!

  • Great van! - 2008 Toyota Sienna

We got ours about 6 weeks ago, and are very pleased. We replaced a 2001 Mazda MPV, which I thought was a "perfect" size. I was a little worried the Sienna was going to be too big, but its really nice having the extra space, and it still fits in our garage (just barely). Its very smooth, quiet, and powerful, and even the CE version that they make for cheapskates like me had all the features we wanted. The sliding doors operate easily, and the "tumble forward" middle row seats give easy access to the 3rd row.

  • Excellent minivan to buy - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I had to drive this in the snow storm for about 200 miles.. I was amazed by the traction and AWD functions. Very comfortable van. very smooth ride.

  • Disappointed - 2012 Toyota Sienna

Navigation System is very poorly designed. Not only its not self-intuitive, but also seems to be buggy. Some times some of the options are grayed out, some other times the same options are available. That should not be happening. Also, I still have not been able to transfer my phone contacts - the process keeps failing. Another thing thats a bummer: it seems to be averaging 14 miles a gallon, though I drive half of the miles on the freeway about 70m/hr. Where is the promised 25 miles per gallon??? The storage spacing is a bit weird: I have 8 cup holders around me, but not much other type of storage.

  • 2005 Sienna Disappointed - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Thought Toyota would stand behind their vehicles better. Have had on and off problems with the airbag sensors for 3 years, ultimately cost $3500 to resolve the bad wiring harness. Toyota National said too bad, you arent in warranty and since this is your first Toyota, you are not brand loyal yet. Will go somewhere else on the next vehicle. Disappointed. Hard to believe in this economy they have too many customers and can show that level of disinterest.

  • No big issues - but wont buy again - 2006 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Bought this car for my wife who swore she would never want a minivan. She likes the car, but Im not crazy about it. Mileage averages 19 .. i never expected 30, but 23-24 seemed reasonable. The engine seems underpowered or else the transmission is just plain shifting at the wrong times (i shouldnt have to floor it to maintain 70 mph on a minor incline). Otherwise just plain feels like Im driving a couch

  • DO NOT BUY - 2006 Toyota Sienna
    By -

This is the worst vehicle i have ever owned. My wife really wanted it so we leased one for three years. Thank goodness I did not buy it. I cant wait to turn it in. The Run flat tires left me and my family (young kids) stranded. Had a blowout in the runflat you could stick a baseball through. I dont think that is to safe. The transmission does not shift smoothly and the dealer keeps saying it works properly. The gas mileage in terrible. 17.5 mpg is the average that we get for combined driving. We did get 18.1 on a 1000 mile all interstate drive this summer. Do not buy this junk.

  • Great van with a little room for improvement - 2013 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I have to admit that I had my eye on the latest generation Sienna from the day it came out. My 2004 Sienna LE that I still own had been quite a workhorse for me, but it has140k/miles. I liked the tight turning radius and 20-21MPG of the 04. Also the foldable center divider is handy for moving long objects. One of the reasons that I got the Limited was the lack of that ugly piece of plastic that is in the middle of the second row seats for seating 8 people. I like the 2013 very much but wish it got better MPG (I get 18-19 with mixed driving), and had a little tighter turning radius (like 04). The ride is effortless and smooth, seats are first class, and all the warning systems are great!

  • Toyota Won My Wife Over - 2008 Toyota Sienna
    By -

The Sienna is the best "bang for your buck" vehicle on the planet. Versatility, quality and comfort are unmatched. Many of the features on our Sienna exceeded our expectations. In fact my wife went from cringing at the thought of driving a minivan to becoming a big fan. That alone is no small accomplishment... in fact its more like an automotive miracle!
