Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

  • This van moves!! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This van has excellent fuel economy on regular unleaded, quiet and fast on the highway! The engine and brake performance instills driving confidence. My kids and spouse love the comfort. However, the younger one (3months of age) cries in it sometimes because it is too quiet. He prefers our older, noisier car.

We just returned from a 500 mile trip with two small kids. There was tons of flexibility and average gas mileage for mostly highway driving was 25 mpg. I cannot begin to compliment Toyota for thinking of so many little things to make the car more comfortable. We upgraded from a sedan and it will be worth the small drop in mileage to have the space and flexibility.

  • Worst purchase we have ever made - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This vehicle is a lemon. We have lost count of the number of times we have had it in the shop. We have had to replace the heaters in both seats, the steering column, the back lift gate only works 40% of the time, (worked fine before the recall~once they replaced the motor~has not worked right since. Dealership claims they cant find anything wrong). Skid control kept kicking in while making a right had turn, once even on the dry interstate in a straightaway. If you are going to buy one of these, at least get the extended warranty~trust me, you will need it!

Road noise due to poor door seals. Sliding doors rollers noisy due to grit accumulation on rollers (dealer suggest cleaning often-I suggest better sealing of door). Does not provide enough heat below 0 deg. f and cooling above 70 deg.f. (dealer says to let car idle longer to warm-up and to turn fan off at startup????) No traction on snow, ice, loose sand. Not enough towing capacity, tranny downshifts too easily. Cheap tires! No after market roof rack available, after market hitch too low causing bumping on curbs.

  • Babe Magnet - 2001 Toyota Sienna

I am amazed by the reviews on here, some honestly just make me laugh, I run full synthetic, and run 3k mile oil change runs, never had an issue with sludge. My interior takes a beating (not by kids, but snowboards, mountain bikes, and drunken friends) I have replaced the brakes twice in the front, the rears i believe are original, pads in NYC cost me 35 bucks a wheel to replace. rotors are 50 bucks each. The seats are super comfortable, and the ride is better then my friends 99 deville. The seats could be uncomfortable if you are huge, but then just pull the back seats out and roll yourself in.

  • 2011 Sienna - 2011 Toyota Sienna

I miss the center console and nooks for garage door opener, etc. I also miss the coin holder and pockets on the backs of the 2 front seats from my 2007 Sienna. The looks of the interior are not that special either. I dont understand why they took out some of the better features and replaced them with nothing! Im starting to miss my 2007 Sienna. The 2011 even seems smaller.

  • Toyota Needs a Compass - 2006 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Toyota needs a compass because they have lost their way. I have owned other Toyotas and they never needed more than maintenance items. Not so with my Sienna. After only 4 years the front air conditioning failed. Then the passenger side sliding door failed. I was upset that it had broken, but thought it would take a $100-$200 part to get the problem fixed. Was I ever wrong. Toyota charges $1,100 just for the part and no company makes an after- market part! You have to take the door completely off the car to fix it. With the old Toyota it wouldnt have failed, but if it did it would have been simple to fix and the part wouldnt have cost so much. I wont be buying another Toyota.

comfortable ride handled nicely on wintery roads this morning with snow/ice

  • Still room for improvement - 2004 Toyota Sienna

The vehicle I think in overall is good and better than the 2003 version. However, compared to the 2004 Nissan Quest SE 3.5, it doesnt have enough standard equipment.
