Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

Easy to drive, effortless power steering, great view from the drivers seat even for short drivers. Seats 7 comfortably with room to spare. The CE is fully loaded with all the creature comforts; power windows, power locks, power side mirrors, keyless entry alarm, front/rear AC, dual sliding doors, roof rack, CD/cassette, 6-way adjustable seats, tilt steering, cup holders everywhere! The whole 9 yards! Plush suspension offers luxurious ride, yet handling is nimble and quick. 3.0L DOHC V6 can easily pull the Sienna up long steep hills at 100mph loaded with cargo and 7 passengers. Reliable, roomy, oozing with high build quality, features, and Lexus-like ride.

  • Very decent van - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Not a lot of problems with our 2004 LE FWD. The passenger side power window motor did fail at around 20,000 miles. Replaced under warranty but did have to leave overnight for repair. Recently needed coolant sensor, thermostat and air/fuel sensor at 28,000 miles, but these were replaced in a day under warranty. The Dunlop tires wear out very quickly. Replacing them now at 28000 mi. with Yokohama Avid TRZs. Gas mileage is lower than expected, averaging 17.3 MPG over the past two and a half years, and that is almost all suburban and highway!

  • Just the best - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After driving a 98 for 5 years I was used to the quality. Our 5th Toyota vehicle. I was a little concerned about the gear shift position but now I just love it. The turning radius is awesome but a bit of getting used to. The auto doors are a boon for older people or short and I fall into both catagories. I will probably always have a Toyota.

I had a 2000 Honda Odyssey and the Sienna blows it away. Great ride. Great features. Plenty of power. Quiet ride. Huge inside.

  • High Hopes Diminishing - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I am afraid my expectations from this van are not becoming a reality. Its been back twice for the passenger door adjustment. The "door ajar" light would stay on when the door was closed. This caused the interior lights to stay on all night. There is a slight ticking in the engine that almost sounds like a valve ticking but the dealer said it is normal. Now the most concerning problem just started and thats the transmission clunks really hard when you almost come to a stop but then take off again. Its also done it a couple of times in stop and go traffic when it downshifts. So this means another trip back to the dealer. I suspect the worse.

  • The "gotta have" minivan - 2008 Toyota Sienna
    By -

With a growing family and need for the convenience and security of AWD/4WD we chose the Toyota Sienna. Just a few years ago I laughed at my friends who had growing families and went out and bought minivans. I take it all back. The Limited AWD Sienna is more like a Lexus that seats 7 comfortably than a minivan. This is a great vehicle and I highly recommend it over the competition based on the AWD option and "more luxurious" interior. If youre spending >$38k it should be nice!

  • Poor Engineering - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Poor service, poor engineering = worthless car...We also had issues with unintended acceleration. Our car was in an accident as a result of this, yet Toyota claimed nothing was wrong with the car. We will never buy another Toyota product.

  • A Low Down Minivan - 2004 Toyota Sienna

The car is a quiet, safe, reliable, very comfortable vehicle, however, advertising it as having a "towing package" is disengenuous at best. The hitch is barely 8" above the pavement. With no trailer attached and four people aboard, the receiver contacted the pavement when exiting my garage and had to be removed. The worst part is that Toyota seems to be in denial. In answer to my questions about trailer towing, they send me copies of the owners manual. Not at all what I expected from a world class company! The car also downshifts on the slightest grade. The transmission is smooth, so it isnt too noticable, but for 230 horsepower?

  • Gotta have it! - 2003 Toyota Sienna

I bought this van 4 months ago and I love it! Before this I owned a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan that gave me nothing but trouble. I put $3000.00 into it for a new transmission, new raditor, new electric system and brake system to start. This vehicle only had 60,000 miles on it. I decided to get rid of it when I was told the whole front end was going! Anyway I have owned toyotas before and they are the best vehicles on the road. You will not be sorry buying a siena. I researched all the other minivans from reliability to features to price to customer reviews. It by far beats other vans. I will not buy anything else!!
