Model Overview:

Buyers looking for a smart choice in the minivan segment will undoubtedly find themselves considering the Toyota Sienna. Since its introduction in 1998, the Sienna has won over families with its versatility, features, safety record and reputation for reliability.

In reviews, we've lauded the Sienna for its smooth, refined ride and easy-to-drive nature. Another plus is that Toyota has generally offered all-wheel drive on the Sienna, making it a more practical alternative to large three-row crossover SUVs. More recent Siennas can be downright plush in higher trim levels, and there's even an SE model with a sport-tuned suspension that's genuinely sporty. Whichever version you choose, you'll be getting one of the most dependable and rewarding minivans on the market.

We bought our Sienna during its first year of introduction and have driven 36,000 miles in 36 months. After 6,000 miles, the mini-van started to rattle at various parts. One of the door screw fell off. After balancing the tires, all the rattles went away except for the sliding door at 30mph. The firestone tires are definitely the cause. Emmision test mechanic told me that other owners also have the same complaint. The second seat arm rest is too weak. When passenger exit the van, they tend to use the arm rest as a rail to avoid falling. this tends to losen the arm rest. I suspect a heavy person can lean on the arm rest and break it.

After months of searching for the right minivan I brought home the Siena. Kudos to Toyota! This seemingly flawless, comfortable minivan is a great drive. Not to mention the fact that its ABS probably saved me and my son from a wreck when a driver went through a red. I took the Siena on our first family trip (2 adults and 2 kids in car seats) from NY to North Carolina. Put the cruise control on (after the first 1000 miles)and just enjoyed the ride. At times we had 7 passengers in the car comforably ( and my family aint small). Honda may win all the rewards- but when it comes to overall refinement both in the ride and interior comfort- Toyota is simply the best.

I am a auto technician and I buy Toyota because at the end of the day I dont want to work on my own car. With Toyota I rarely ever need to, besides routine maintenance. I have owned other brands, but Toyota have always been the most reliable.

Very nice amenedies for a van. The style is better than most. The interior offers a very quite and comfortable ride. Acceleration is very good- no problems getting onto the freeway. The van is remarkably well built and trouble-free. The engine and tranny are smooth and work effortlessly toghether.

My only problem has been a bad DVD player which was known by the selling dealer before delivery but not repaired. Our local dealer Sun Toyota replaced the DVD but it required Two 40 miles trips for service.

Weve had our van for one month and are generally happy with it. It has a lot of space, and provides a quiet comfortable ride for all passengers. It is not a drivers van as the steering feels disconnected and the brakes feel soft. However the engine is a powerful and quiet marvel. On a 2000 mile road trip we found the engine powerfully moves the van along and got nearly 26 mpg running mountainous roads and AC most of the way, even before the engine was fully broken in.

We bought our toyota almost a month ago, and we couldnt be more satisfied. Were averaging slightly more than 22 mpg with mixed driving, which should only improve - great for a van with this amount of room and comfort. Plenty of "bells and whistles" on this base CE model, and solid power. We did plenty of research, and the price difference between this and the Honda, sold us on the Toyota. We also felt the Sienna mileage rating was more reliable - which its proven to be.

Our last 4 vehicles have been Fords - and they lost us as customers with numerous quality problems, and unsatisfactory customer service - a real disappointment.
