Overview & Reviews
Already sporty-looking, the RAV4 compact SUV gets even sportier thanks to a new optional sport package that adds a new grille, a hood scoop, color-keyed door handles, heated exterior mirrors, tubular roof rack and gray-painted bumpers and overfenders. Inside, the package adds special sport fabric seats.
- Steers and handles like a car, thoughtful cabin design, well-built interior.
- Small displacement engine for the class, noisy, most of the desirable equipment is optional.

REAR DOOR OUCH!!! - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By Todd - February 23 - 10:36 pmI bought this car for my wife overall it is a Toyota (excellent vehicles) however I have been very concerned about the rear door. I have small children and that door is an accident waiting to happen every parent should watch out. What is with the weight of that door? It is a mousetrap and I am concerned that children can be seriously hurt or injured by this poor design. I would keep the car if Toyota could come up with a fix but Im fearful that children have already been hurt by it. Watch it especially if you live in hilly terrain as we do!!

Great second car - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By Skywarrior - December 20 - 2:00 amSuperb small SUV. Especially useful as a second auto. Great in typical snow. Parks anywhere. Heater is very efficient, as is air conditioner. Skip the leather seats; quality is just so- so. I would/will buy again.

My last Toyota - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By shyam - December 20 - 2:00 amSince I bought this RAV4, I have taken this to the dealer more than 10 times to fix problems. I took this to fix the rattle noise from dash and other places more than 5 times. Couple of times to fix the engine light. Now it is back with the dealer to fix the engine light and this time they have to replace the Cat converter and the transmission. It has only 23k miles. This is my first and last toyota.

great vehicle - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By pmama - December 2 - 2:00 amI bought my RAV4 a year ago and have not a single honest complaint about this vehicle. I traded in a corolla for this one and I am so glad I did, it is quieter, roomier and perfect for a small family like mine with young children.

RAVing? - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By TxRavDriver - November 6 - 2:00 amThis is my 3rd toyota so far. These cars never disappoint me. Even my 95 corolla still runs well. I love my metallic blue 2003Rav4. It handles nicely, it has a fun-to-drive look to it. With gas prices getting higher, this car doesnt take much to fill and yet it gives you all the goodies of an SUV (without the guilt and expense). If you are looking for a fun car, this is it.

Fun little SUV - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By Fred - May 19 - 2:00 amMuch more fun to drive than the CRV. With the smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission, the 2.0 VVi engine has adequate power with very good gas mileage--got 31 MPG on the first tank driving highway. My wife loves her RAV; great for our small family and trips around town.
