Overview & Reviews
The 2003 Toyota Prius, a hybrid-electric vehicle, is unchanged.
- Marathon fuel efficiency, roomy and comfortable interior.
- Quirky looks, no standard CD player, no fold-down rear seat, more expensive than most other frugal economy sedans.

Fight High Co$t of Fuel - 2003 Toyota Prius
By Flyingwest - June 18 - 10:00 amMy doctor convinced me to purchase a Prius. He had 55,000 miles on his 2000 Prius and found it to be extremely reliable. It was enough for a doctors needs. I had researched the Prius on the internet looking for fault. I found none important. I have a ball each time I drive. I am a commercial pilot.

Love the Prius! still going............. - 2003 Toyota Prius
By Tone - April 17 - 10:00 amTo my surprise, the Prius is a great hybrid car. The Prius has very arrowdynamic exterior styling, especially in the front. If you want a hybrid car, this is a great choice.I have about 500 miles on my new 2003 prius. 507 to be exact and Im stil on my first tank of gas!!!!!!! LOVE the gas mileage! This car is huge on the inside:).It seems almost like you are sitting in a Camry. Not the best looking car Ive ever seen, but it is definitely great value for the dollar. All Toyotas are.:)

Average 50 MPG - 2003 Toyota Prius
By Eric Behrens - February 15 - 10:00 amThe Prius is very efficient, but you have to know how to drive it. You learn when to coast and brake. By watching the fuel consumption monitor you are constantly reminded of your driving habits.Excellent gas mileage and a very smooth ride.

Great buy: Great ride: Great savings - 2003 Toyota Prius
By Bill Tarbell - September 22 - 2:00 amCd\radio\ audio tape sound system is excellent. 4 dual sized cups good, convenient O my gosh handles over each door. The warranty and tax deductions, the almost total emissions control, the support for my bad back, all are TERRIFIC! The glove compartment and trunk are larger than one would expect from exterior view. Great car for short\long trips in comfort, convenience, and cost effectiveness. Speedy rascal. Four doors make for easy access. Recliner seats are too good!THE MILEAGE OF 46 IS FOR INNER CITY: WE GET 58 OR BETTER ON THE HIGHWAY OFTEN, SOMETIMES MUCH BETTER. If I werent otherwise employed, Id be a salesperson for the Prius.

Great little Car! - 2003 Toyota Prius
By gran1 - September 3 - 2:00 amIve only driven big vehicles and when we moved to the country, I had to re- think my gas mileage. I decided to "get as good as I could get" and that was a Prius. I hate little cars that make you feel like youre in a little car. This one doesnt!! Its great! Rides great and very comfortable! And will run like a scalded dog when I need the power to pass. Im very pleased with this car. I still miss my 4Runner, but I love the mileage in my Prius!

Love passing gas stations - 2003 Toyota Prius
By Rcruser - August 28 - 2:00 amAfter purchasing my Prius, I took a trip through the Rocky Mountains. I would have never believed that I could pass a truck going up a mountain and increase speed from 60 to 80 mph so quickly. The Prius is super efficient but you have to know how to drive it. You learn when to coast and brake. By watching the fuel consumption monitor you are constantly reminded of your driving habits. Comfortable, zippy, and passes gas stations with a smile. I do get 50+ mpg in country driving and city.

The best little car - 2003 Toyota Prius
By KevinP - July 17 - 2:00 amIve driven everything from VW beetles to Lincoln Towncars to 24 foot trucks and this car is the best in quality and fun Ive ever seen. Dont be put off by the "new" technology. Its proven itself. Ive had mine since 9/02 and have nearly 9000 miles without a hitch. Theres more room inside than my Infiniti I30 for a lot less money. The navigation system is great and accurate, worth every penny. Test drive a Prius and see.

Totaled my 02; immediately bght an 03 - 2003 Toyota Prius
By CWH - July 17 - 2:00 amMost comfortable car that I have ever owned. 660 miles in one day and felt better than 400 in my Mercury Sable. Exceeds every expectation that I had. SAFE. In a near headon it acted just like a race car; ie. passenger cage was solid and the rest of the car absorbed impact energy. Air bags deployed and I walked away UNHURT.
