This is my third Prius since 2002. They keep getting better.

We traded in our 2008 Prius, it had all bells and whistles, low miles. Nothing wrong. Reason we traded was because of the safety features. We are very pleased with those features. Our old vehicle had more up front storage, but, not as much fun to drive. This is a great little car, that gets great gas mileage to boot!

Car seems not to hold the road as well as old Prius. Cut down the weight to improve fuel economy. Less rear storage space😒

  • Sporty eco drive. - 2016 Toyota Prius

This car is fun to drive. It gives feedback and rates your eco driving on the go. Actually, it teaches the driver to proceed with economy. The cars driver visibility is a tremendous improvement over older models. The screen is a great improvement over the previous generation. We are impressed with the economy of this vehicle.

  • Great, underappreciated car - 2016 Toyota Prius

The car is really great. Dealers are all over the place with regards to familiarity with it, however. More upscale features such as sun roof, GPS, power seat and heated seats are indeed available in the four trim level, but those require a bit of effort (worth it) to find. Thats where the quality of your dealer matters. Back to the car. The dashboard and roof are relatively low, giving you a great view of the road around you. And I really like the sunroof - it sits far enough forward and i wide enough that you really feel the presence of the sky. I had a 2007 Prius 5 which survived 251,000 and was still getting 47 mpg until we sold it. Since I posted original review my mileage on the new Prius kept getting better and better. I use ECO mode and am a pretty efficient driver, but still... It crept past 54, then 55, 56, 57, 58 and seems to be settling at 59 mpg! Its crazy! 200 miles and the tank is like 3/4 full.

  • Prius 4 Touring- good and bad - 2016 Toyota Prius
    By -

We replaced a 8 year old Prius with a 2016 Prius 4 touring. We loved our old Prius and find some of the changes in the new a little quirky. The white console accents- really? White cupholders? i give them another week before they get stained with coffee. Our old prius was noisy, and this new one also has a lot of road noise. The roof peaks over the front seats and they feel wonderfully roomy. The back seats are a bit squishy on head room. The cargo room in the back seems bigger than in the older car. The new safety features- like blind spot monitoring and lane departure are wonderful. The car handles well and feels zippy. The range- 800 or so miles- on a tank of gas is incredible. The screens are easy to read. The navigation system displays on the main console screen, but also can show directional instructions up by the speedometer.

  • Best Car I have EVER owned. Period! - 2016 Toyota Prius

Having purchased a 2015 Prius Five for my Printing Business I was satisfied with the car BUT saw the Commercial during the NFL Stupidbowl this year. I was taken away by the styling of the outside of the car. Reminded my of the Auto Show where I saw Toyotas first Hydrogen vehicle concept. The lines were similar and the interior of that car blew me away. Fast forward to last week. Dropped the Prius Five for its first service and saw the 2016 Three Touring in the showroom. Like the look but the interior was missing something, mainly power seats. The Salesguy informed me that there was a Four Touring with all the bells and whistles. I saw it, drove it, and traded in my 2015 that night. The car drives much better. No hessitation when giving it throttle. Brakes waaaaaaaaay better. Seat is more comfortable. Love the Qi cell charging for my phone. Visability is better. Fuel economy is better as well. Still getting used to the rear end of the car which is growing on me. I also see Toyota changed the interior taking out a lot of the cheap looking white plastic inserts to black. Love the blue stitching in the black leather seats. Seat warmers are better. I am a fan!

  • Great car....for a smaller guy - 2016 Toyota Prius
    By -

I absolutely love my Prius....words I thought Id never say! I got a new job a little further away from home so I thought I should buy something a little more economical. The Prius fit the bill and I bought it a few days before I started. I bought the basic model, nothing fancy...and I love it. I wish it had auto lights and power seats, but I get along just fine w/out em. What is starting to bother me a little is the comfort in the front seat. For quick trips its not bad, but when Im sitting in traffic for an hour or more my back starts to hurt. Granted my back hurts most of the time anyway, but not as much when Im in my other cars. Overall I still love the car. Getting 58 mpg currently and love that! Filling up last time cost me <$18...oh wait, thats the 1 and only time Ive filled up in a month! Hard to complain about that! If youre in the market for a Prius, just get it.

  • High quality, excellent ride, exceeds my expectati - 2016 Toyota Prius

When I bought my 2009 Prius, I was very pleased with the car and the gas mileage. However, I was disappointed I had to give up certain creature features that I had in my 2005 Prius. However, my 2016 Prius exceeds my expectations as compared to my 2005 Camry. I have the moonroof I gave up with my 2009 Prius. However, I now have all of the features I use to have with my Camry. All of the electronic safety are fantastic. It has an excellent ride and is very quiet on the road. Some minor disappointments. Less internal storage in the car. Lost the above glove compartment storage and storage area under the center console. Also lost the limited storage area located over the spare tire. Oh ya, I got a model 4. The problem is, I no longer have a temp spare tire, but a repair kit and inflator. The is a [non-permissible content removed] moment when I realized that I paid more for a model 4 and didnt get a spare tire. My salesman is trying to get me information on why. We looked at a model 3 and it had the temp spare tire. This may have been an engineer decision where because of the additional safety features in my model 4, they had to balance the overall weight of the vehicle by eliminating the temp spare tire. Come on Toyota, that is not right. Positive, on a recent 30 mile round trip, I averaged 60 MPG with normal driving condition. Love that!
