New Prius is better than ever - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Carl Harrington - March 15 - 4:57 pmWe had a 2008 Prius. Just got a 2016 Prius 3 with the advanced technology package. Great mileage so far (55+). Navigation system is much improved and allows access to traffic via apps. Moon roof is cool. The car even grades you on how fuel efficient your driving was after each trip. Only 1 glove compartment and its smaller. Back seat room seems less. Overall, a great car.

New Prius a BIG Winner! - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Jim tuck - February 22 - 11:20 amYou really want to buy it. The 2016 redesign makes it one of the best looking car on the road. It is a first class improvement over the old style. GAS MILAGE EXCEEDS THEIR ESTIMATES. I get 59/60 without trying. (They rate it at 54.)

Ugly car runs well - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Evan - February 20 - 4:23 pmThe interior of this car is great, the dashboard has improved. The exterior rear light are ugly. The entire exterior rear end is ugly. The sea-glass green looks like a giant insect from the back.

Greatly improved mileage over 2014 Prius 2 - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Stephen Vear - January 23 - 7:46 pmNew design greatly improves Fuel mpg, averaged 48 on 2014 Prius 2, have gotten almost 70 mpg non highway, frequently over 60mpg driving 100 miles to work, combo rural and interstate, current average is 58.6 for all miles driven a 20% improvement over the 2014 Prius 2 I owned. Advanced Technology package well worth it, Active cruise control, collision avoidance, lane departure correction. AND the only way to get a moon-roof which I hope will improve resell value as it is only offered on model 3 and 4 !

The futures technology here today - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Norman Wagner - September 1 - 11:08 amFor a small car,the new Prius is head and shoulders above its competitors in performanceand features it offers, but at a price. Compared to the Hyundai Sonata Limited Im currently driving,it provides much better mileage with its 1.8 engine, which while quite adequate, lacks the snappier performance of the Sonatas 2.4 engine. Surprisingly, the ride is actually more comfortable than the larger, roomier Sonata. Both handle well. The interior trim does leaves something to be desired, while the expensive add-ons are a negative, however.Still, my research indicates it to be one of the safest, most economical autos to own for the long haul and has superior resale value.

Surprisingly good acceleration and MPG - 2016 Toyota Prius
By Andrew - May 24 - 5:50 amThis 4th gen Prius is not the same car as older versions. In the one month that I have had the car, I continue to be surprised by the many preconceptions that have been proven wrong. 1) It accelerates well - step on the gas and the electric motor together with gas engine will pick up the speed very nicely. I have not had to floor the accelerator yet when passing or merging onto freeway. 2) EPA gas mileage of 53 is wrong. It is also wrong that highway MPG is lower than local. I have been averging 63 combined and little difference between local and highway. 3) It handles very well, thanks to the new 2016 rear suspension. Coming from a BMW 3 series, the handling is comparable around corners and turns.
