  • Bad quality with Worse service! - 2005 Toyota Matrix

Own 03 Matrix, driven 45000 miles. First when I got the car it had problem with radio and rattles in the back of the car. Toyota Central in LA refused to fix the rattle in the back, and took more than a month to replace the radio! They were supposed to call me when they receive the radio but never did! Now rear wheels locked up and does not move!!!! Had regulary serviced every interval but still got lots of problem!

Just did what my friends called the unbelievable. I traded my 02 Acura TL- S in on my new Silver Streak Matrix XRS. To those who say I traded down I can only say that this car has brought back FUN into the driving routine. While I do miss the heated seats, thats all that I miss. Love the handling and the punchy little engine. The six speed and shifter feel Euro. The cargo space in this car is amazing. For those of you that are weekend warriors youll love the pop up rear window for 2 x 4s. Got all the toys except Nav. There were only two XRSs in my area. One was the color that I wanted. "Traded down?" Not in my book. P.S. - Stomp on her and still love the improved fuel economy!

I have had my Matrix XR for about 600 miles now. Its everything the reviews said. Its sporty, roomy inside, handles great thanks to the Goodyear Eagle tires and keeps suprising me with its great features. Ive only ran one tank of gas so far and got 28mpg on mostly city driving, no highway. Thats a little less than I hoped for but still pretty good. Yes, the seating position for the driver takes a little getting used to. (See improvements below) But once the seat is adjusted you have little problem. The sunroof and ABS brakes are terrific as is the upgraded stereo system. The stereo rivals my home system when you are playing a CD. The dash lighting (red on black) is wonderful.

  • Great car for tall people - 2005 Toyota Matrix

Have 90,000 miles on this car and love it. Drove cross-country with 65" husband and had plenty of space for us and other large items. Mileage more than 36 mi/gal. Thanks.

  • Fun Car/ Reasonable Price - 2005 Toyota Matrix

I bought a Radiant Red Toyota Matrix with a good sound system, sunroof, alloy wheels, sunroof, and even had the Toyota wheels chromed after added a limo tint to the windows. Added a personalized license and made the car fun to look at, and made it an eye catching vehicle around $20,000.00. People stop me in the parking lot to ask me about it, and the higher roof makes it roomy for a driver over 6 feet tall. So far, the car has been reliable and fun and I like it very much. I had a 300 HP V8 engine before this car, so the power is a bit slow, but Im used to that and appreciate the mileage at the gas station. I highly recommend the Matrix. Its FUN.

This car has been great it has never failed me once. The design is simple and easy to use. I love the power the 1.8 4 banger motor makes. Its awesome I had my matrix xrs at 140 mph (on a closed track of course). I bought this car coming from a Mercedes Benz and this car has been better. There is no traction control or stability control which is ok because you can throw this car where ever you want. Its so fun to drive I love it.

This car has a great design, very well thought out designs by Toyota like the anchors in the back. Seats sit up pretty high so it give you a good view of the road and of course the build quality of this car is outstanding.

I just got a 2005 model and i think it is the GREATEST. I have the XR model. It rides GREAT. The seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room. The back seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room. There is plenty of storage space with all kinds of extra pockets. The fit and trim is exclent. The turning radis is GREAT. It drive like a car only better.

  • Lexus for the Matrix - Very Happy! - 2005 Toyota Matrix

Traded in my RX300 for the XR and couldnt be happier. My gas gauge doesnt plummet anymore and I can turn on a dime. Not as luxurious (wife misses heated seats) but love the sporty 5spd manual drive (flashback to my 88 Prelude days). Lots of room for my band equipment and baby on the way. Like the RX, the hatch can hold a lot. Just picked up a massage chair - to the surprise of the staff it slipped right in. Way to go Toyota. Matrix joins my Toyota family of a 97 Previa that I love just as much.
