Have quite happy with the thing overall, much better than the American equivalents. Wanted to like the Jeep products but one test drive comparsion was enough to go with the "CATruck" Have not been sorry yet!

  • Best vehicle Ive every owned. - 2003 Toyota Highlander

In the 30 days Ive owned my Highlander it has given me more pleasure than any vehicle Ive owned in over 40 years of driving. With two wheel drive it preformed great in snow and ice. It has the most comfortable ride of any SUV Ive every ridden in and drives like a dream.

The thing that I first noticed when I drove the vehicle that I eventually bought was how stable it felt when cornering. Appointments inside are adequate for the price range. Engine is quite snappy, good excellration.

I have had the Highlander for just over one year (2002 model) and it has been a dream to own. I had one seal (slight squeek when barely rolling) that had to be replaced at 3 months. Other than that it has been oil change and lube. I have not had one complaint. On the highway it is as nice to drive and ride as our Lexus.

  • Rattles a Surprise - 2003 Toyota Highlander

Overall I love to drive my Highlander. Its quick, nimble and quiet (for a SUV). However, after 20k miles there are two rattles in the interior. Toyota charges a premium for their vehicles and I used to think it was well worth it due to the quality...Im starting to wonder now.

  • Great Luxury Mid-size SUV for the price! - 2003 Toyota Highlander
    By -

I test drove a few other comparable SUVs and the highlander was the most luxurious inside verse the Hondas Pilot/Nissians Murano; furthermore, the SUV drives very quietly...like a car. The interior of the Highlander is very similar to the Lexus SUV-300 except the Lexus has more of a electronic dash, and obviously...the Toyotas price is a lot less.

  • I have had it 2 Years - 2003 Toyota Highlander

We have had our Highlander for almost 2 years now. It is an incredble vehicle. I drives like a car, handles like a car and accelerates like a car. We have not regretted this purchase for a moment.

  • Pretty Good - 2003 Toyota Highlander
    By -

This is the second Highlander I have owned. I purchased a 2003 to get heated seats and better ergonomics. Both Higlanders have had wind noise problems that have mystified the Toyota dealers. Go Figure. I drove it to Orlando from Maryland and it was a pleasure- good milage and plenty of room. I do wish Toyota offered a DVD package for the kids. MI know Il get a Lexus.
