I will buy it, if Toyota is smart enough to build. - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By Reginald Pryor - May 9 - 9:02 amMatch the full cost of ownership to your projected total budget, and buy the Highlander you need and want. Smart successful dealers will research to find the Highlander you want to buy. Match the Highlander to your region. Dont think you are buying a Porche SUV, a BMW X5, or a Landrover. Buy the extended Toyota warranty, too. Every car manufacturer understands the lifespan of major systems, components, and many parts. Always specify genuine Toyota parts for Toyota service for both warranty items and normal wear items, for there can be differences in quality and how Toyota warrants the item(s). Read your service invoice authorizing service before signing it.

Side View Mirrors - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By Marcia - September 2 - 9:54 amThe side view mirrors are so large that they block my view of the curbs and cars on a round-a-bout. Im a petite woman so that makes it a lot worse. I side-swiped two cars because I could not see to the side of me. I am trading this car in with only 2000 miles.

2016 Highlander Limited Platinum - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By Saeeda K - January 16 - 11:01 pmLike the style of car. Hate that Toyota nickels & dimes you for everything. My only negative review is that the cabin is much louder than I expected on the highway. I came out of a 2007 Toyota Avalon & the difference in the cabin noise is surprising. I would definitely recommend test driving on the highway. Other than that, overall is good. Wish there was a way to have Waze as an app instead of toyotas nav system. Its not as efficient as Waze. The third row is definitely for kids. No adult would ever prefer to sit In the third row, let alone three of them wouldnt fit in the third row.

Overall a very good car - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By Sam Ng - November 20 - 4:50 amEverything is good with some rooms for improvement: 1. Dash design is nice but lack of flat area to mount other items such as phone holder or dash camera. Windshield seems is the only place to mount , which reduces the visibility. 2. Mpg is not as good as rated. I have 70% local 30% hwy and I get 18 mpg.

Never thought I would switch from Honda! - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By bsmith - January 11 - 1:13 amTook me 4 months to decide on a new SUV (which drove my husband crazy). Thought for sure I would stick with the Honda Pilot bc I loved my 2007 so much but wasnt thrilled with the reviews for the new Pilot and did not care as much for the interior design. Drove a few other makes but fell in love with the Highlander as soon as I drove it. LOVED the interior design and the quiet, smooth ride from the get go. The radio is so much better than my old car as well. Most of the new SUVs I test drove had limited visibility towards the rear of the vehicle. I found that learning how to correctly position my mirrors helped drastically. What I would improve on would be the USB ports. There are none in the 3rd row and the ones up front I feel do not have a lot of power. It takes forever to charge my phone compared to my old car and that is annoying. It takes a while to get use to the navigation system but I played with it to destinations I was familiar with and am getting use to it. After a lot of research and test drives, every vehicle will have positive and negatives and you need to find what is most important to you. So far my family loves the Highlander and I am very happy with our decision.

Very good SUV - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By 1awesomecloser - September 21 - 2:20 pmReally good car. Only thing off is the touch screen infotainment center needs to closer to right hand so you dont have to lean foward to reach. Other than that its almost perfect. Great residual values. Super comfy to ride in compared to my 2014 4Runner.

Highlander has read too many of its headlines - 2016 Toyota Highlander
By gary rainford - September 16 - 5:33 pmOverall the Highlander is a solid vehicle that will probably perform well over time & hold its value. However, dont believe the 18-24 fuel rating. I just took it on a 250 mile trip, drove conservatively on the highway & averaged a whopping 17.9 MPG. Also, the electronics are ok, but given this is a 2016 model, the user interface could definitely use some fine tuning.
