I really like Toyotas - having previously owned 2 Avalons. But I like the ease of in/out of a vehicle and visability of a van. But NOT a van person. It rides great, gas mileage is very good and has ROOM.

This is my 15th toyota, and definitely my favorite..It is so comfortable, handles well, and has plenty of comfort features..Also drove Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder..No comparison!!

Ride is smooth and secure. Tires are huge! Road noise is minimal on highway compared to Camry I had previously. Large storage compartments up front are handy.

  • We like our Highlander - 2003 Toyota Highlander

We like our Highlander. Our previous vehicle was a 4-Runner. The Highlander has a much more comfortable ride, and gets much better gas mileage. I cant tell that we lost any space either.... it seems we can haul just as much stuff as we did in the 4- Runner. About the only thing I dont like about the vehicle is the exterior styling.... very boring.

Recently purchased, 03 Highlander base model, I travel in sales and this vehicle impresses me more each day. My customers sem to like at well as I have benn driving to the golf outings almost every weekend. My wife loves it as well but, I dont let drive it too much. Great road feel, good acceleration and best of all lots of room to put all my stuff. Best vehicle I have ever purchased, and I have had many. Im 52 and busy.

62,000 miles and no problems other than a loose sun visor. 22+ MPG all around, quiet and smooth ride, room for lots of stuff.

  • A Great Choice - 2003 Toyota Highlander

We have had 7 Toyota Cars over the years but this is our first Toyota SUV. Handles like a car. Great pick up. very nice features. I expect this one to be around our house a long time. got a great deal from the dealer. Bought it over the internet for 100 over invoice. Fully loaded. Wife is happy so what can I say. We still have a 96 Avalon that runs like the day I bought it only now it has 115,000 on it. The 99 Tacoma is my daughters now and it is still going strong. Great value and you get quite a bit for the money. Plus you get Toyota quality. Go buy one!

  • From Explorer to Highlander - 2003 Toyota Highlander

I used to drive an Explorer unitl I recently sold it and got a Highlander. The ride and comfort is like night and day. The Highlander is so smooth and responsive. Its a joy to drive. The interior is classic, comfortable and well designed, while the engine is quiet and reliable. The only complaint is when the rear windows are rolled down with the front windows up, it sounds like a helicopter is landing on you. Ive heard of this condition with the Highlander before and it is loud, but we never drive with only the rear windows down so its not a real problem for us.

Great handling and more than adequate room for 4 adults w/ golf clubs. The snow in NY has been no problem w/ this vehicle.
