GREAT CAR! - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By mike2785 - August 3 - 10:00 amAstounded by the interior fabric and materials, upscale look. The engine is quiet and the acceleration is surprisingly good. Cabin is roomy. Great on highways (just drove to SF for 12 hours one way). So far we LOVE it.

Love it - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By Bertha - July 27 - 10:00 amLove my Highlander - we looked into the Pilot, Trailblazer and Extera but the HIGHLANDER was the best. Very comfortable, perfect size for a small family, great mileage for an SUV. Repaced an american mini van that gave us nothing but headaches. This is my second Toyota and I am loving it.

Love this car - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By ontrack - July 21 - 2:00 amI have owned many vehicles but the Highlander is by far my favorite. It is easy and fun to drive and very comfortable. The back door makes loading easy and the back seats fold without a problem. For a smallish car it has plenty of room. I transported a sofa home in it! The engine is quiet and even with the 4 cylinder engine there is plenty of power. Cruise control is excellent and easy to use. I really love this car.

My first Toyota was a great choice! - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By TchrCochrane - July 17 - 11:53 amI wasnt sure about getting an SUV, but this one was so comfortable. I describe it like this: its like a car and a van all rolled up into one! I really enjoy driving it. My two children love riding in a more spacious area and really enjoy watching videos on the Dvd player. Glad I got it!

An excellent, well rounded player - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By LTJ - July 15 - 2:00 amYou will definetley feel like you are riding in a car or lets say a Camry. There are good space accomodations and I like the hidden bins in the cargo area. The V6 engine is excellent although could use more power but take off is excellent. Provides peppy, and fun power which makes you want to rev it high. The ride is excellent and comfortable. Radio sounds excellent.

Love My Highlander - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By auntiejenn - June 2 - 4:30 pmIm very happy with this vehicle. Ive taken it on several long (1500 mile) trips and it is as comfortable to drive & ride in as a good quality car. The only complaints I have about it are: (1) the lifter (fuel injector) noise -- and even that is minor. With no radio on, sitting still, you can hear the f.i. system working, but while driving, or with radio on normal volume, you cannot. (2) the paint on the hood chips very easily from normal road wear. I would buy it again ... zero mechanical issues, easy to drive, comfy. Holds value well.

Vanilla - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By DV - May 27 - 3:56 pmIve owned the Highlander for five years now and have never gotten used to the exterior styling. Its about as vanilla (plain) as they come. The interior is well done, however, and the car provides a very comfortable ride, although its a bit noisy at highway speed. Reliability and quality are good - just as one might expect from Toyota. However, if youre looking for good styling and a powerful, fun car to drive this is not it - nor is any Toyota for that matter. The car lacks style and horsepower and has no towing capacity. Most importantly, it lacks rear interior space and can only carry four to five adults. (Only small children can fit in the optional rear seat.)
