This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
Cons:
  • No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

Awesome acceleration! Quiet ride. No squeaks or rattles after 8000 miles. No drive problems like some say they are having, i.e., hesitation or surging.

  • Loving My New 2007 SE Camry! - 2007 Toyota Camry

I just bought my new 2007 Camry SE 4- cyl today! What an amazing car, its a very sporty car. Forget the talk abotu the camry being a family car, the 2007 SE with spoiler and body kit definitely redefines camrys image, my friends cant believe its a camry! The sporty fabric and seats plus the stiffened suspension defintely make this a great car to drive. Of course a camry cannot be considered a sports car, but for the price the SE trim is definitely pushing the envelope.

  • Over-rated - 2007 Toyota Camry

We went with Toyota due to its history as a great car. Went with the SE w/V6 for performance. We had it in the shop the first week we got it. Had to take it back 3 times before they replaced the rear shocks and the noise did go away. However, we have developed a cabin noise in the front. All and all, Im not sure Toyota is what it was. The fit and finish in the cabin is not the level of quality I expected. We have had the car a year, and I think you should shop around before you buy, because Toyota is over-rated.

  • Not what I expected from Toyota - 2007 Toyota Camry

I purchased a 2007 Camry because of the looks of the redesigned model and because of the "legendary" Toyota quality and reliability. As of today, I am a bit disappointed in the build quality of the car. First of all, the interior has way too many cheap plastic parts (like the cheap plastic center piece that houses the clock.) Second, during this past winter, an annoying dashboard rattle has developed in two places.(by the right speaker & behind the instrument panel). Also, Toyota has continued to make the Camry larger, but has failed to increase the horsepower of the 4 cylinder. Therefore, more RPMs are needed to accelerate which kills my fuel economy.

Surprisingly agile for a 4 cyl, auto transmission requires manual downshift for quick instant power. Should be ok for normal driving. Loaded with safety features (tire pressure indicator is cool). Very roomy in comparison with other midsizes, outstanding leg room for back passengers and trunk. Very smooth, quiet ride for the most part, a little bit of engine noise at high RPM but not annoying in the least. New design is very upscale looking, more appealing to the younger crowd (24). Road grip is good, brakes are great. Suspension even on base model is great on bumpy roads. AC very cold, all controls easy to identify and use. High quality inside/outside finish

  • The Best Overall Car For Under 30,000 - 2007 Toyota Camry

This car is better than I could have ever dreamed. It has nice luxury interior (the wood grain is lovely), but it also has nice pick up speed and is very roomy. Im loving the reclining backseats (even though I dont sit in the back). The bluetooth is a very good and smart feature. The car handles great and is really easy to control. The keyless entry and push start is marvelous. Overall for the money this is the best car you can get for the price. The new body style is an added plus also. Dont forget to get the glass sensor added to your vehicle.

  • Far and away the best car Ive ever owned! - 2007 Toyota Camry

I purchased my 2007 Camry SE in late 2013 with 117,000 miles. Less than two years later, the odometer reads 168,000. I have had ZERO problems, and I have beat the crap out of this car. Neglected oil changes, bald tires, some body damage, and I NEVER open the hood. It still runs like a dream! Its deceivingly fast, and if it didnt have that dang traction control, I have no doubt it would smoke the tires. I can weave in and out of traffic (yes, Im that guy) with ease. The seats are comfortable (and Im a fat, old guy) and there is plenty of headroom. I guess the only complaint is the navigation system. In order to update it, you have to purchase a DVD, for $80-100..cheaper to buy a GPS..it was probably cutting edge technology for 2007. Just filled it today and checked my MPG..it was 28. I LOVE MY CAMRY. First "foreign" (even though its assembled in the USA) car Ive ever owned. Most US cars cannot compare to this little rice rocket!

  • Its not my 2004 Camry - 2007 Toyota Camry

My biggest complaint is the engine noise. I can hear the car even with the radio on. I compared it with a friends Camry, same model and did not notice the noise. It has been to the dealer twice with this complaint, but they find nothing wrong with it. The leather seats in my 04 were much nicer. The trunk got tiny scratches on it the first time it went to the car wash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews in that I think Toyota got a little too relaxed about its quality rating.

  • One Bad Investment - 2007 Toyota Camry

This is my first Toyota purchase. I am so disappointed. I wasted my money on this car. One day while my husband and I was in route to Atlanta, the car started jerking. I was asleep but the jerking of the car woke me up. We took the cruise off the car and it settled down. When we returned home, I took the car to a transmission specialist and found out that the transmission is slipping. I was told that the car was sick but not in critical condition. I then took it to the dealership where it was purchased and the head mechanic said that the car ran fine. I said, "Aah heck, its another Mazda deal." I had almost the exact same problem with a lemon Madza Protege. My warranty will be out soon. HELP!

  • Reliable appliance - 2007 Toyota Camry

My 3rd Toyota. 84 Celica, 89 Celica. Car has been excellent in terms of reliability. Some quality issues with fit and finish. Dash has squeaked annoyingly almost from day 1. Had problems with upgraded JBL radio. Replaced with Pioneer. V6 is great. Wish the rear seats in the SE went down. Very happy with car after 52,000 miles.
