Overview & Reviews
Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.
- Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
- No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

Awesome Buy - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Sunit Mathur - June 30 - 8:26 amThis is my third Toyota. This time I traded in my 05 Camry LE to get the 07 Camry XLE. Only two words can describe this for me: "Awesome buy".

I like it! - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Melinda - June 29 - 9:33 amThis is a great car. Performance is excellent. I got the 6 cylinder because I am used to power - prior car Camaro Z28, and I am not disappointed. The ride is comfortable and it seems to ride a little higher than the average sedan, which I like. Its easy to get in and out of. I feel like I have a luxury car. No rattles or transmission problems. The interior looks great to me. This interior is as good or better than others in its class.

Delighted With Our Camry - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Gail - June 25 - 9:03 pmNot a whit of problems with this car. Has not been back to dealer for any reason since we bought it in August. This is the fourth Camry in this family, and this one seems to be the best of any of them. Congratulations to Toyota for another excellent automobile.

Do not buy the inline 4 cylinder - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Chris - June 7 - 12:33 pmThe I4 has no power and drives like a typical 4 cylinder. The ride is loud and not comfortable. This was my first Camry and will be my last as I do not feel a 6 cylinder will improve the ride. It is very stylish inside and out, especially with the new design. I drive 2 hours to work each day and it is just not comfortable to me.

Thats Right, Look at Me - 2007 Toyota Camry
By cam-man - May 25 - 4:23 amI am the envy of all my friends because of my silver SE V6. After owning the SE for 3 weeks now, Ive already put 4,200 miles on it, and it hasnt let me down. The transmission is flawed, it takes a few seconds for it to speed up, but once it goes it goes fast, I love the shift gate, great for easy passing! I turn heads everywhere. Im glad I got the SE because they look so much better than the other models and they dont seem to be as popular. (I dont want too many people to have my car!!) Get the door sill enhancers easy to put on yourself and makes a drastic difference to your car!

Very Disappointed in Responsiveness - 2007 Toyota Camry
By CmryOwner - May 24 - 3:33 amIve had this car for a year - bought it for the low emissions, safety, and good mileage rating - and Im considering trading it in. There are two things I cant stand about it: throttle hesitation, and poor gas mileage. Rated for 34 on the highway, Ive never gotten more than 28. My previous BMW 3 series got better mileage, and believe me it was more fun to drive.

First 1,200 Miles - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Hoot 27 - May 20 - 8:16 pmOther than a pretty firm ride, I have nothing but good to say about my Camry XLE V6 with GPS. The GPS made my life easy on a 700 mile trip to an unfamiliar location. Performance was great. 29 mpg overall. No transmission problems as reported by so many others. Ive had 3 BMWs and only one of them could offer a more comfortable ride than the Camry. A BMW 528 with the same equipment would cost over $20,000 more! This thing scoots!

A Step Backward From Previous Generation - 2007 Toyota Camry
By theraven65 - May 17 - 10:10 amWe bought this car based on Toyotas reputation for high quality/value, but were ultimately disappointed. Compared to the previous-generation (2001-06) Camry, the interior of the 2007 - while great LOOKING - is very cheap. Lots of hard, creaky plastics, thin seat material, and very cheap-feeling HVAC controls & some other switchgear. Both sun visors broke internally and would just hang down & had to be replaced (with same poor design). The struts had a reputation for failing early (ours were shot & leaking by 30K miles). Worst of all, the engine began using oil excessively by about 70K miles - which I discovered was common for this (2.4L) engine in all of the vehicles it was used.
