  • Better than the Lexus - 2003 Toyota Camry

We have a Lexus ES-300 and a Camry XLE- V6. The lexus is our second car: the camry is more fun to drive. Long story short-- we can buy whatever car we want and we chose the camry over everything for a daily driver. Now that the new Camry is out, Im tempted to trade up, but ours is still great after three years. Its nice to know that when the time does come to sell it, it wont take me more than a few days to find a buyer.

Hi I have owned volvos s80s 2001 2000.I have owned many cars in my time sedans and sports cars .my experience with Toyota cars are the best .from Hondas expensive to fix.expensive to buy .volvos poor reliability.Mercedes way overated.Pontiac clumsy and poor feel to the roads .uninvolving.to BMW very old fashion and drive heavy and noisy.lousy gas consumption to hugely expensive repair .rear shocks on a Mercedes 500 2003 sedan 600each example .Volkswagen very noisy and overheating pure build quality.step below the Mercedes Nissan very cheaply made and overrated .my 350z had more rattles in it than a rattlesnake.it never idled correctly.Subaru sti had worst high speed feel to it felt. Unsafe n brakes were horrible.Subarus feel like tin cans .mazdas worst of al cars .if any makes match longivity of a Toyota car is a Chevy .ford .but fix it again tomorrow..Camry v6 excellent car even at 176k miles .gets fab gas mileage 30mpg for a big car b v6 power.not very fast but acceptable.roomy.very clear instrument panels.I hav a 2003 Camry v6 black..paint still shines .cheap repairs .easy fix maintenance.one exception the timing belt and water pump every 90k.miles .Toyota are your best bet. Resale value .longivity.easy drive .comfortable seating roomy.Avalon Camry corolla your best buys .celicas mr 2.supra risky buys with head gasket problems and faulty instruments.Toyota make best cars but not sporty not fast not stylish can be boring to drive .but it beats a car in the shop all the time a car falling apart but looks good. A car that costs you an arm and leg to keep.a car thats super fast but the gas station is your daily stop with 93octane .iv had all the cars .Toyotas win my vote ..

  • What a great buy! - 2003 Toyota Camry

I brought my Camry with a little less than 15K miles. All the previous cars I had owned had been domestic and there is a big difference in the handling. My Camry came with ABS brakes and I decided to get the car certified before I purchased it and the dealership threw in a cargo net for the truck as well. Not a bad purchased for $17,450. I am having a ball with this car. It is worth every penny. I finally found a car that a 510 female can enjoy riding in the back seat. This was my biggest concern of mine. I knew I could drive just about any car, but I wanted one I could be confortable in the back in as well. Great job guys.

This is my 6th Camry and the best! Bought it with 9400 miles on clock. Smooth, quiet ride. Excellent gas mileage. Whats not to like! Guess Im surprised to find several negative comment re tire wear. It seems original tires wear fast! After 25K miles, Ill have to replace tires soon. Ive gotten 75K miles on a set in earlier Camrys.

  • Camry - Not as Good as Competition - 2003 Toyota Camry

Ive had my car for about 2 years. I dont like it whatsoever. The clock is positioned so poorly, that only the driver and passenger can see it (and thats if they are sitting upright). The car has poor pick up for a V6 with 190hp. The stereo and air conditioning are positioned too high for easy & comfortable access. The speakers and stereo overall are not as good. I would think that the company with, in my opinion the best luxury brand (Lexus), would provide a really classy car and luxurious. But Im wrong. Too bad, cause I really like Toyota.

This is a terrific car. Quiet interior, smooth ride, and nice engine.

  • GOOD CAR - BAD DEALER - 2003 Toyota Camry

This is my 3rd Toyota purchase. No problem there. The dealer gave us a great deal, but on delivery they claimed the vehicle did;t come with floor mats and they didnt provide a full tank of gas. it has taken us approximately 6 weeks to get a check refund to cover these items. This happened only because I threatened to report them to Consumer Affairs. It is hard to find an honest dealer. My wife had a similar problem when she purchased her Highlander.

  • Its a Lexus Jr.! - 2003 Toyota Camry

It is meant to be a larger family car that is more refined in nature and has a long, long, history of auto reliability. That Camrys nature is reflected in smoothness and comfort. Its a Lexus ES300 Jr! The Camry is a great car for the price. It has a wonderfully quiet cabin (minus the crisp tire/road response) and looks and feels like a much more expensive car. Handling could be improved, as well as the horsepower, but my wife and I are quite pleased with the 2003 Camry.

We bought this Camry one year old. It has 112,500 miles now. I plan to keep it at least a few more years because it is so reliable. Catalytic converter failed in 2009 in a different state but the Camry got us home! That is the only major repair. This year we drove it 13 hours one way on vacation and got 36 mpg with a full trunk, 2 adults & 2 kids!

  • bad a/c - 2003 Toyota Camry

This is my 2nd Camry. I have had major problems with A/C. The compressor, motor, and other components had to be replaced. Getting parts was a real hassle. Also, the intermittent wipers did not work when I bought it. I have had to replace tires at less than 30,000 miles which is rediculous. I dont know if I have a lemon or what.I am aprehensive about the A/C.
