Overview & Reviews
For the 2004 Toyota Camry, a new 3.3-liter V6 is standard on SE V6 models. Relative to last year's 3.0-liter V6, this engine offers 33 more horsepower and an additional 31 pound-feet of torque, boosting ratings to 225 and 240, respectively. Fortunately, Toyota has also boosted the 3.0-liter engine's output -- it now makes 210 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque in V6-equipped LE and XLE models. Both V6 engines come standard with a five-speed automatic transmission this year. In other news, a new trim has been introduced; the Limited Edition Camry comes in an exclusive crystal-white color, and offers a unique front grille, standard foglamps and champagne-color exterior badging.
- Roomy, comfortable, plenty of safety and luxury features, high resale value, strong reputation for reliability.

I love my Camry - 2004 Toyota Camry
By yuboy - June 30 - 2:00 am2004 Camry is our 4th Toyota car. We never had any problems with all other Toyota cars except normal wear. This Camry is very comfortable and fun to drive with manual transmission (manual transmission Camry in 2004 are all made in Japan). It drives very smoothly, powerful and has lot of space inside. It will be a very reliable car for many years to come. We trust Toyotas super quality and we love this car.

2004 Toyota Camry Defective Engineering Design - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Denise - May 30 - 1:27 amBought this car from brother in law three years ago who followed all maintenance requirements, as did I. Had to replace sagging headliner and rear speaker covers. Added new tires, brakes, alternator, battery, frequent oil changes, transmission flushes, etc. Car ran great for three years. In 2015, my son and I noticed a sloshing sound behind the dash. Coolant in reservoir was low, even though we checked it regularly. Filled it and took to mechanic. He initially thought that it was the stripped head bolt problem. Coolant was leaking into the engine. Cracked head. Said that the car had been overheated, even though there was never any indication of overheating on instrument panel or smoking, etc. Mechanic stated that it was nothing that I did and that this was a very poorly designed engine and I would be wasting my money to replace the engine, as I would be getting another defective engine design. He stated that he had always believed Toyota to be great cars, but not after working on this one. Car had 126,000 miles on it. Interior quality was also very cheap. Flannel cloth doors! Not at all the same quality as my 1994 Camry in terms of longevity or quality. Gas mileage was good, but not so good now! What a complete waste of money for a car that had been so well maintained. Do not buy!

2004 Toyota Camry Le - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Outstanding Vehicle - March 30 - 8:00 amGreat car overall. Outstanding value for the entire vehicle. I was expected it to cost more, but it actually costed alot less. Still cant get over the fact that Ive had it for 2 years now and it still drives exactly like the day I got it. Its so smooth and quiet, easy to drive and comfortable. The overall car feels thousands more expensive than it actually is. Couldnt have made a better purchase dicision. I recommend this car to ANYONE.

By kcole - February 23 - 2:00 amGoing from a Chevy Tahoe to my new camry has been a pleasure! I thought I would miss the size of the Tahoe, but the roomy interior of the Camry is great! I just laugh and laugh when I pass the gas pumps now!

By STEALTH - February 17 - 2:00 amI CANNOT BELIEVE HOW THIS CAR RIDES. IT IS SO SMOOTH, QUIET, FAST AND GREAT ON GAS. I TRADED IN A CIVIC AND THIS CAR GETS BETTER GAS MILEAGE WITH MORE ROOM AND THE FEEL OF A "LUXURY" CAR. MOST IMPORTANTLY TO ME IS THE SAFETY REPUTATION.
