  • I AM IMPRESSED - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

I owned various vehicles in my life from Mercedes to GMC to Honda, but when I test drove the Toyota Camry, I was impressed by how quiet it was. The engine sounded smooth and the ride was just right. The interior of the leather covered XLE with wood trim definitely looked better than my 99 E430. I loved the sound system, the heated seats, the VSC and the eight airbags that came with the car that I was riding in. There were many other gadgets and cool things to explore in the Camry. I truly believe that if you want to get the bang for your buck and treat yourself to some affordable luxury then you should definitely consider looking at a Camry.

  • Ill never buy another one - 2003 Toyota Camry

The car has a significant veer/drift to the left at highway speeds. I have found that this is a very common complaint among many 2002 and newer Camry/Solara owners. I have to continually "force" the car to keep it in a straight line. On left hand highway curves, I dont even have to steer... I can just let go of the steering wheel. Numerous dealerships attempts to correct the problem have failed. I also see that there have been many complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration on this issue (along with my own)... Many of us can only pray for a recall....

  • The best car we ever owned! - 2003 Toyota Camry

Mileage exceeds sticker even driving at high speed. After 28,000 miles we have had no defects for dealer to repair—a first for us on any new vehicle.

  • An excellent car! - 2003 Toyota Camry

Two previous cars were 97 Grand Prix and a 99 Chrysler 300m. Enjoyed both of them in spite of little glitches, but my 03 Camry LE (4 cyl., and now with 21000 mi. and 10 months ownership) is possibly the best-built car Ive ever owned - including the 89 V6 Camry I bought new, and which had a tendency to go through front tires, I think due to the added weight of the V6. In these 10 months of ownership have done nothing but routine maintenance, and never back to the dealership at all. Was esitant to buy the 4 cyl. but did on salesmans assurances and have not regretted. "Consumer Reports" mentions the Camrys outstanding 4, and they are right.

  • This Aint No Grandma Car - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Well, the misus and I had to get a new car as our 2001 Honda Accord got totaled. I was opposed to the Camry at first, cause I didnt want a grandma car (do I feel a midlife coming on?). But we went to the Toyo dealer and I was AMAZED at the silky, smooth ride of this car. We were sold after smelling the new car smell! It handles beautifully and gets up and goes for a 4 banger. The sunroof and smoked headlights give it a mean sporty look. The cabin is so large...good for those rides home after fighting at the in- laws. Pockets galore and HUGE trunk. Full size spare is great too. Excellent car...excellent value.

  • Dont buy this car - 2003 Toyota Camry

This car has been poorly built. There is excessive wind noise starting from 70 MPH. There are rattles even when the car is driven at low speeds. I also hear a rattling sound when the A/C is switched on.

  • Best car ever - 2003 Toyota Camry

After being a GM man I made the jump to Toyota. Best decision Ive ever made with cars. This car is comfortable, quiet and best of all great fuel economy on the highway. Last week my wife was rear-ended by a Chev half ton as she was stopped to turn left. He hit her traveling over 30mph - the half ton has been written off and the Camry is repairable. Best of all my wife came out of it with just a little bit of a stiff neck. Also it is very predictable in rain and snow. To sum up this is a safe, reliable and not bad styled car I highly recommend.

  • Out with the old, in with the new - 2003 Toyota Camry

Traded in my 96 Camry last year for a new 03 and will probably trade it in for another Camry in a few years. Ive found Toyota to be very well built and reliable even well past 100k. For my money, Totota and Honda are the two best built cars, but Toyota tends to be roomier and better priced than Honda. Very responsive V4 while still getting 32 mpg.

  • Great Car with minor improvements - 2003 Toyota Camry

This is my second Camry. I traded my previous Camry(1992 Model)after 11 years and 107,000 miles. Overall I recommend it highly!

  • Great car, but whats next? - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Smooth, quiet, big trunk, runs like a 6, quality inside and out, great suspension, brakes, sound system. Quality material in the seats and doors, almost a baby Lexus. The SE suspensions offered more body control and less lean and float than the le and xle. Priced less than the xle, with nearly all the add ons, the SE was a package that had the features I was looking for, ie, 16" performance tires, alloy wheels, four wheel disc brakes, ABS, fog lights, sun roof, and permium JBL 8 speaker sound system. 75% of toyotas sales are the 4cl, new engine in 2002, i-vtec, this produces as much hp as your standard american v6.
