In an effort to make Camry ownership more affordable, Toyota adds an entry-level Standard model to the lineup this year. All 2005 Toyota Camry models receive freshened exterior styling with a new grille, headlamps, taillamps and wheel designs. All Camrys now have antilock brakes as standard equipment, and the optional automatic transmission for all models is now a five-speed unit. Inside, all Camrys feature Optitron gauges, steering wheel audio controls, a rear center headrest and upgraded seat fabrics. The XLE V6 now includes standard leather seating.

2005 Camry Safety Hazzard - 2005 Toyota Camry
By stackowi - January 10 - 1:03 amIn the fall of 2009 I purchased a used 2005 Camry LE. This has turned out to be the most unsafe car that I have ever owned. To begin with there have been multiple occurrences of unexpected acceleration which seems to be due to a design flaw in the brake pedal. It is too small and located too close to the accelerator which causes me to trounce on the gas when I intend to apply the brakes. I am very fortunate that I have not struck someone or something as this is a dangerous situation. I have taken it back to the dealer to adjust the brakes which has not helped and Toyota wants me to take it back for further examination, a process which would mean that I would have to spend money for this

Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 2005 Toyota Camry
By rj - December 27 - 9:33 amJust turned 110K now. Ive changed oil every 5K, air filter every 15k, and changed transmission fluid at 105K and the old fluid still looked fine. Ive gone thru 2 sets of tires. I see no reason why this girl wont be around for at least 300K.

Not perfect, but pretty good - 2005 Toyota Camry
By m.r. - December 26 - 9:50 amThis is company vehicle, have had it for 2 years, 50,000 miles. Car is peppy for a 4 cylinder, much better than the Mazda6 I had before. Overall, car is very refined, smooth, quiet, very reliable. A couple beefs; some squeaks have appeared in this car and I have some rust appearing on the B pillar. Also, Toyota paint is very soft, chips and scratches easily - had same paint issue on 2001 Camry. Despite minor issues, would definitely get another one.

Thought Toyota had a better car.This car is slow when first pushing on the gas, and shifts slow. Thought it would get better gas mileage than it does. The good news, its fast when it finally gets going. Also, expected a quieter vehicle, but I have found that it makes little noises as if it wasnt pieced together tightly and some things are now loose.

Best car for money - 2005 Toyota Camry

It is not a "muscle car" but has more than enough power, handles great, well behaved, and is what I wanted in a sedan. Its a pleasure to drive. I simply cannot think of a single complaint. Id buy it again with no hesitation -- and Im happy with the dealership.

Proud New Owner - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Lina - August 21 - 8:00 pmIm a new Toyota Camry owner. Mine is only two days old. I went from a Lexus IS300 to a Toyota/Camry and I really dont see much difference. Frankly, this car is more comfortable than my IS300 Lexus. Its very roomy and I love the trunk space. I recommend this car for its look, driving performance, etc. Ill let you know later how well it does on gas mileage but right now, Im a happy and proud owner of a Camry :)

Happy to be back to Toyota - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Alan - August 14 - 5:16 pmThis is my 3rd Toyota and 2nd Camry Le. I had the competition. My Honda failed me. it was an 03 and couldt wait to get out of it. This car is a dream. It has Lexus styling and comfort. This time I went for leather. Its incredible to drive. Quiet and spacious. Ever so classy. I bought the indiglo blue pearl. Even the 4yr old thinks its the "coolest". I recommend this car to everyone! You cant find a better car. My whole family owns Toyotas. When you drive it you say to yourself, "Wow, I really deserve this" Thank you Toyota.
