  • Reliable and economical - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

Bought it in July of 1995. Since then Ive averaged 17k miles per year. It now has 184,000 miles and still runs great. Never needed any major repairs. Gas mileage is good (generally between 20 and 22 mpg in mixed driving), but power and especially handling could be better. The power antenna and locks sometimes stick in the winter.

  • Moms Car Rules! - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

Bought the car in October of 94. Has 103,000 miles on it now, and has only been to the shop ONCE (besdies scheduled maintainence) for a failed alternator. Super reliable car and easy to maintain. Only problem is that I have been plagued with a randomly squeaky suspension for years, though mechanics say theres nothing wrong.

  • Great teenager car! - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

My brother gave me his Camry as a gift, of course as a teenage girl i wasnt too thrilled with the look of this car! I drove it for an entire year and only had big problems towards the end of its journey. At 198 K its pretty well worn out. For sixteen years old still runs good .No A/C , had to put in a new radiator and other little malfunctions, all in all a great first car !! Im gonna miss it!

  • Pretty reliable - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

The Camry is at the top in overall reliability. I love ours. We have had few problems with ours. I have replaced one CV joint and one CV boot, and probably should replace the oil pan gasket within the year. The car is not a sporty model, but is so reliable and pleasurable to drive that you dont mind.

  • Boring Overall - 1995 Toyota Camry

Reliable? YES. Interesting? Not at all! I was told that I would get tired of my Camry before it gave me any problems, and that is right on. I am so tired of it, but it has been very good to me, so I am feeling a little guilty about speaking in such terms. If you like cars, then get something more fun. If you like reliability alone, then you can buy mine. It is now for sale. I am ready to have some fun in an SUV.

  • Good car, but not perfect... - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

My 1995 Camry LE 4-cylinder has almost 82,000 miles but you wouldnt know it. The car still acts like a brand new one. Ive had this car since December of 2001, and it had 69,000 miles on it then and all my friends thought I got a brand new car. The car is underpowered with the 4-cylinder engine. In order to keep the car moving, you need to keep pretty heavy on the gas so fuel economy was not what I was hoping to get from such a small engine. Also, the suspension is very soft, which makes for a nice ride, but take it easy in the turns. Also, because of this, I cant tell you how many times Ive bottomed out on a dip in the road.

  • Granny Driven - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

I bought my 95 Camry from my grandmother after she decided to buy a new car. The car had only 116,000 KM on it which is practically nothing for a 15 year old car. It runs well, has been very reliable. Theres some rust starting to form around the sides of the doors, but other than that the car is in perfect condition. Older automatic transmissions are known to get crummy fuel economy ratings and this one is no exception, i get about 7.5L/100k if Im trying which is no great shake, but not bad considering the age of the car.

  • Best affordable car ever - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

I bought this car used from Thrifty Rental in 1996, it had about 25,000 miles. Fourteen years later it is above 160,000 miles but runs great. This is a no- hassle, no-worries car. Toyota needs to go back to the mid-90s when it made solid good-lucking cars. No problem with sudden acceleration because these older model use a mechanical accelerator, not a computer-controlled one. And I think the style still looks good.

  • 1995 Camry XLE, GREAT CAR - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

I bought this car almost two years ago with 114,000 miles on it, and the first year owning I put over 40,000 miles on it. The first year the only repair I had was the A/C compressor. This year I had replace some parts for the EGR and decided to put new oxygen sensors in it too (got a good deal on all the parts less than $300). But with that said it has always gotten me to point A to point B, and even with the EGR problem it still ran decent. This is not a sports car, but it is nice to commute in. Mine has the leather seats which have held up great and are comfortable. I would recomend this car to anybody. Definitely the most bang for your buck, especially when Ive gotten close to 30 mpg.

  • A Great Daily Driver - 1995 Toyota Camry
    By -

I purchased a 5 speed Camry just this past November. This was to be my winter car and new daily driver. I must say it was perfect timing with the snow we had in northern VA this year. I bought it for $2,000 with 113,000 miles, you cant beat that. I had a 1993 Camry in college and I donated it with 240,000 miles. These cars can go past 200K miles easily. When I got mine I did the 60k service; timing belt, water pump, oil seals. I also put in a new radiator. I paid $1,000 for all of this work. So for $3,000 I have a good working beater car. My other car is a 1993 Nissan Twin Turbo 300zx. The Camry doesnt compare in terms of performance. But, I averaged 30 mpg highway on my last trip.
