Greatest SUV - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By Jessy - October 17 - 10:00 amI love this SUV! The name TOYOTA should say it all. Reliable, great interior an exterior design, performance is great. I couldnt wait until my first big snow storm in 2000 to see how long it would take to get through the snow piles. No trouble at all! If fact it was so fun I went through every snow pile I could see with no trouble at all! I have 29000 city driving miles on it and to this day I have absolutely no problems. I highly recommend the 4runner!

My 4 Runner rules - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By mike777 - August 30 - 5:29 amI purchased my 4 runner in 06 with 117 K on it , it was a 1 owner trade in with all service receipts ( lots of them) all service performed by the book by Toyota , (main reason I bought it) that and the reviews by owners. It has proven to be the best most reliable vehicle Ive owned to date. I currently have 350K on it with no major or minor problems, I do my own service /maintenence, no breakdowns, everything still works, and I have the LTD with power everything! all I can say is wow, pretty much original everything. runs like a swiss watch. still drives like new and looks close to new. made in Japan with top quality parts, seriously whose alternator lasts 350,00 miles,500K here I come

RELIABLE BUT BORING - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By Pawleys Island Boy - August 8 - 6:43 amI am a 16 year old high school student whose parents bought me this car last year. It is super reliable and I havent had to replace or fix anything. It says it should get around 19-22 mpg, but I only get around 17. It is very weak and there is nothing special about this car to me. I do like the looks of it though. I chose this car because I know that being a Toyota, it will last me forever. I have 133000 miles on it and dont plan on getting another car for a long time.

By Ts Runner - June 23 - 10:00 amBought this car used right after college as a single person, now its converted great for car seats, strollers, etc. Has performed excellent during the worst snow storms, and is a great car for beach trips. Cleans up well, low maintenance, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

By alchemy - June 19 - 2:00 amThe 150+ horse power I-4 is adequate for most applications. Excellent acceleration with the manual transmission, strong, quiet and tuff when reved. The interior build quality is impecable. The 2wd model which I have doesvery well on fire roads and minor off road driving. The high ground clearance and manual transmission allows the vehicle to wedge into just about any forseeable situation. With the right tires, it is great on snow too. If you want to climb hills, get the 4x4, but the 5 speed 2wd it adequate for most applications

Used 2000 SR5 Highlander/Sport - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By dds120 - May 6 - 4:16 pmI bought a used 2000 SR5 "Highlander" edition almost 2 years ago. This edition has a sport hood, larger wheels, leather seating. Best car Ive ever had. Routine maintenance is all that Ive needed, approaching 75K, should run for 100K more. Wanted a LR Disco badly, but thank goodness mt wife talked me out of it.

150K and still running strong - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By Greg - April 17 - 9:16 pmI bought this new and now have 150k on it. I follow the factory maintenance to the letter. I have done two repairs. One was the power antenna ($100), the other was a dirty fuel filter ($500). Supposedly these have lifetime fuel filters installed inside the gas tank but with all the dirty gas being sold I dont think there is such a thing as lifetime filter. Other than that it has been a great SUV. Loves the snow and gets about 18mpg. The OEM front brakes lasted forever...125k and still had 20% left! Still have the back ones.

CLUTCH SCREECHES:TOYOTA CANT FIX IT - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By wellesley80 - November 18 - 10:00 amI bought my 4Runner over other SUVs for Toyota quality. What a mistake. Ive driven clutch vehiches for 27 years and never had a problem till this one. The clutch screeches. The dealer has replaced the clutch 4 TIMES. Last time the factory representative told me the dealer had installed it incorrectly. Now, 6 months later, its screeching again. Dont buy this SUV. This is my last Toyota.

2000 4 runner sr5 2wd - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By matt riley - October 4 - 10:00 amI bought this truck about 3 years ago, Because it was roomy and looked nice I had no idea I would love this truck like I do. It runs great not bad on gas, Only problem I have is the center cap with an S in the middle is gone cant find one any where,other than that I will never buy anything else but a 4 runner, Maybe a 4wd next I think the 2010 is the best looking SUV on the road, other than mine, though in the ran sometimes the back end is a little slippery but nothing you cant handle. I would point anyone in to buying 1, Great family car, Great daddy truck. Go and buy 1.

Great SUV - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By toyandvw - August 24 - 10:00 amWeve got over 90K miles on our 4Runner- off and on pavement. Love it.. dont even want to trade it in on a new one. Brakes are original and still have plenty of wear left- replaced the tires @80K.
