I love this vehicle. This is the 2nd 4Runner I have owned and would consider buying another one. My only complaint is the mileage or the lack there of, 12 to 17 depending on various unknowns. But I like the reliability and comfort.

We bought this car used in 98 and have put on many miles. We love it! Never had any major problems, very reliable.

I love this truck! Unfortunately, after eight years, its costing WAY too much to maintain. It has never let me down, but they find something that has to be fixed every time I take it in for an oil change! Ive spent about $4K in the last two years. Id buy one again if theyd make another manual transmission, with better gas mileage and more power!

This vehicle has been one reliable SUV. I own a 2004 MDX, and it is not as reliable. I changed the front brakes for the first time at 100K miles, and the rear at 160K miles. It now has 180k miles and ready for another timing belt. No major issues with this truck except that I changed the radiator 3 years after I noticed some pinhole leaks in the top reservoir. I only did this because I was concerned about 4 wheeling in the hot desert. This work was also done at 160K miles when the factory hoses were changed out for the first time. I took it out 4 wheeling last December in the Anzo Borrego desert over boulders and steep inclines, and it still performs like a champ.

I loved my 4Runner. Dependable, fun to drive, offroad capabilities like a champ. Bought it with 150000 miles and it was still running like a champ when a Dodge minivan ran a red light and smashed me. Totaled it but I was very impressed with how it took the hit. Some minor problems like a power steering fluid leak and the seal between the transmission and the transfer case was leaking tranny dope but not enough to ever run out or fill it back up. Also burned oil at somewhat of a rapid rate, about a quart every 2-3 weeks but other than that it was cherry. Anybody who says its underpowered probably has never taken it seriously offroading, its just geared low. Hope Im lucky to find another one

Really good on highway, off road simply the best. Was my first truck. I just bought a Explorer but I use always my Toyota. I think I will sell the Explorer. This truck is really beautiful, dependable, strong, gas economic even though its a truck, when driving in highway and city also. I am still in love with this beautiful truck.
