What a Truck - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By Johnny Whoha - May 13 - 10:00 amI have towed a 3500 lb camper for the last 4 years with no problems or even concerns. The vehicle is underpowered but with exhaust and intake modifications I have made it more than acceptable. This vehicle has had not 1 issue other than replacing a rear window motor. My biggest expense has been tires, I am more than impressed.

Getting old, but still runs like a top - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By Susan - April 12 - 8:13 amI have now owned my 1994 4runner for 16 years! I am the 2nd owner, and the mileage is currently at 384,000 km (quite a few miles!). It has been completely dependable while driving in summer through all types of weather, winter in Canada, and in the mountains in the U.S. Its fantastic for taking me and my 2 goldens on camping and ski trips Its starting to need a few repairs, but it has been the best vehicle Ive ever owned by a long shot.

1994 4runner - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By ambrown - January 9 - 10:00 amI work on a lot of job sites where Im there before the road and this is the perfect vehicle. It is fairly comfortable and I can pack in a large amount of equipment. The ground clearance is great too.

I liked it so much I bought another one - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By Al F. - November 24 - 10:00 amToyota build quality is outstanding. I compare it to my fathers Grand Cherokee. He is happy with his annual maintenance costs of about $2000. I have not had any problems. The only maintenance I had to do was preventative...ie. a timing belt at 100k. Lets see...$500 preventative maintenance vs. my fathers $6000. Easy choice! Never let me down! I just bought another one. Now I have had all 3 generaations!

Loyal Toyota owner - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By Rivka - October 27 - 10:00 amThis is my 4th Toyota and for the most part, Ive been pleased. Unfortunately though, at 100K, it is looking like I may have to replace the transmission. It is popping out of 3rd and wont go into 4th. Im dissappointed in the quality of this particular Toyota although Im the second owner. The rear window defrost has stopped working. Other than that, I love my 4runner, its gotten me up the hill to snowboard, hauls all the camping gear, the kayak, the house stuff, the friends. Its been my dream car for quite awhile.

Reliable and Rugged 4WD - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By kb - July 4 - 1:36 amA very reliable and rugged 4WD truck. Great for crawling over rocks, fording water, and punching through 3 snow-drifts. Not so much fun on the freeway. This 4runner is definitely still a truck. No mechanical or electrical problems with the vehicle at all. I average 18mpg highway/city. Not bad mpg for a truck of its capabilities. This truck is very fun to drive off the pavement, and is very stable over ruff roads. On the freeway the weak engine and top-heavy weight distribution make it a little scary.

Rock Solid - 1994 Toyota 4Runner
By Dwern - May 14 - 2:00 amI bought my 4Runner used four years ago with 63K miles. I bought an extended warranty when I bought the car and what a waste. I have had only had to put a new battery and starter in it in the last 4 years. Every mechanic I take it to says it is bulletproof, which I have found out as it is near 123K miles. We recently bought my wife a Mercedes ML320 and I still prefer to ride around in the 4Runner.
